Bali, paradise for food lovers on a budget

Most people plan their first trip to Bali for the beaches, clubbing, and cultural sights. And now it is safe to say that Bali is also one of Asia’s most vibrant dining destinations where you can get not just good local Indonesian food, but also fine dining restaurants that are of international standards. Not only will you find authentic cheap local fare but plenty of dining options ranging from a casual cafe brunch and fresh seafood! Regardless of your budget, it’s possible to have something different and exciting every meal and still afford daily cocktails!

Be sure to hit the Warungs – local restaurants serving tasty Balinese and Indonesian food. We definitely recommend trying ‘Nasi Campur’ (red, yellow or white rice with your own choice of meat and vegetables), which is the most popular dish with both locals and expats and a great way to sample all the different foods on offer. Prices are usually as low as IDR 10,000 to 35,000 for a good, hearty meal.
