Locavore
Rated as the Travelers Choice Winner in 2014, Locavore is hands down the best new restaurant in Ubud. A must-try if you are staying the evening in Central Bali, Locavore boasts a modern European menu where everything is made from scratch and the meat is locally sourced, so you know you are eating the freshest food in town. With innovative cocktails, starters, an extensive vegetarian tasting menu and a 5-course dining option, you can’t go wrong reserving a table for two at this top 10 ranked restaurant in Asia.
Expect to pay about $35-50 per person with cocktails and dessert, a great value for the money considering the quality of ingredients you are being served. We recommend making a reservation at least a few weeks in advance, if not months, as dinner tables here are in high demand at the moment.

Maya Sari Mas at Maya Ubud Resort & Spa
Looking to enjoy an intimate meal under the stars during your trip to Bali? Search no further than the romance-inclined Maya Ubud Resort. Here are a few different dining venues to choose from, our favorite being their signature restaurant at Maya Sari Mas and its Asian-style counterpart at Maya Sari Asiatique. Set on a terrace overlooking the river valley, patrons can opt for outdoor dining while savouring international flavors of Butter Poached Lobster, Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb and a Mediterranean Plate for 2. Since we are talking romance, we can’t help but mention their secluded candlelight dinner option with private butler service. Naughty Nuri’s
It may not be gourmet dining, but your date will surely be impressed when you take them for the novel experience of ribs and martinis at Naughty Nuri’s. A little hole in the wall on the side of the main road, this family-run joint is noticeable by two defining features: the cloud of smoke billowing above the grill and the packed tables of hungry customers. If stiff martinis aren’t your thing, try their top-notch margaritas, draft Bintang or other soft beverages on hand. Insider’s tip: for extra succulent ribs ask for the ones with the small bones. Afterwards, head next door to the late-night dessert house, Room 4 Dessert, for a sweet ending to your savory meal.

Bridges
For an extensive wine list and dramatic views of Ubud’s jungle gorge, head to Bridges. Named after the spectacular city center bridge it is set under, Bridges is a casual fine dining restaurant offering Western cuisine with an Asian influence. A gourmet cheese selection, Beef Wagyu and Thai Barramundi with mango crab salad are just a few dishes you can expect to find on their menu. A bit pricy in comparison to others on this list, but you pay for the great food, service and overall experience of this must-try dining venue.

Cafe Lotus
From dining high up above the river valley to low down amidst lotus ponds and temples, Ubud restaurants have it all. Here at Cafe Lotus, you can dine on authentic Balinese cooking all the while watching folklore shows against the backdrop of the Saraswati Temple. From traditional dancing to Gamelan orchestra performances, there is a cultural show to behold every day of the week. When making a reservation, make sure to specify which type of seating you would like to have in relation to the performances- low tables on cushions, elevated pavilion with excelled views, regular tables with chairs, etc.
