2013 has seen another steady increase with 13% additional tourists coming into the island (3.22M tourists landed in Bali in 2013 versus 2.88M in 2012). These official numbers have been released by the Bali Travel Promotion Agency earlier this year.

Infrastructure also improves in Bali month after month. 2013 has seen the opening of the underpass (un-locking the traffic jams from and to the airport and the Bukit) and the fly-overs to Nusa Dua and Sanur, connecting these 2 high- tourist spots to the airport.
All the major nationalities coming into Bali have seen positive growth ; the TOP10 markets coming into Bali remain Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, France, the UK and the US. Australia contributes to around 25% of the influx of foreign tourists into Bali. The second market, China, does represent less than half of this at 12% of the total.
