Bali Tourism Statistics 2013 (official)

2013 has seen another steady increase with 13% additional tourists coming into the island (3.22M tourists landed in Bali in 2013 versus 2.88M in 2012). These official numbers have been released by the Bali Travel Promotion Agency earlier this year.

Bali is an increasingly attractive destination in Asia, competing with Phuket and Koh Samui for the travelers looking for beach destinations in Asia. Apart from its stunning beaches, Bali offers also compelling experiences for travelers looking for a “different” trip (see what to do off the beaten track in Bali) or in quest of a cultural experience (see what to do in and around Ubud). There is also an increasing number of weddings in Bali ; unofficial sources say that close to 10,000 foreign weddings are celebrated every year in Bali. Bali offers amazing wedding venues, affordable catering, and is a close wedding getaway for Australians and Singaporeans, the top 2 nationalities who come to get married in Bali.

Infrastructure also improves in Bali month after month. 2013 has seen the opening of the underpass (un-locking the traffic jams from and to the airport and the Bukit) and the fly-overs to Nusa Dua and Sanur, connecting these 2 high- tourist spots to the airport.
