8th of August, 8:08pm, 2 years ago. The beginning of Villa-Bali.com.
It all started on a Singapore mezzanine rented from my friend Sebastien of Expatfinder.com (thank you Seb!): just a creative developer, a marketing zulu, an excel fanatic and a lot of love and passion for the island of Bali.
Here’s what has happened since August of 2012:
In just one year we went from 4 people to 9. Now we are a group of 21 working in our small but fast-growing company.
We have since moved on from that Singapore mezzanine into a larger, brighter and cooler shophouse in Singapore – and another wonderful office in a lovely Balinese house in Seminyak.
We had one destination, we now have four: Sri-Lanka , Samui and Phuket are our brand new babies.
We had 350 villas for rent in Bali, we now have close to 1,000 villas all around Asia.
We had launched one website in the first 12 months, we launched 4 websites in the next 12.

We had 2,150 fans on Facebook 12 months ago; we have 11,263 today. How many next year, Daniel?
We were working on Excel data-sheets, post-its, and a simple back-end; we now have developed cutting-edge technology to display villa prices and availability and to confirm and process your bookings faster. More than 300 villas in Asia use our proprietary system inter-villa; and we do not print any paper any longer. We are 100% online.
We had a nice logo, but we thought we needed more modernity, and femininity too. Here is our new logo! Like it?
We had many projects in the pipeline, we have even more to come; stay tuned for more destinations, better technology, an amazing new user experience, and great tools for villa owners. All under our new corporate identity, Villa-Finder.com.
