How do you select the villas in Bali?

There are plenty of holiday rentals around in Bali, but not all of them are as beautiful as they look on photos. That is why we send out our site inspectors into the field to find the best villas. We check out each and every holiday rental personally and only the best ones are taken into our villa collections. The villas have to live up to our high standards and expectations, they have to be well-maintained and the location has to be good. You may have booked a gorgeous villa but what if there is a construction site just next door? We make sure things like this don’t happen. Once a villa has made it through the pre-selection and has been listed on our website, we still do regular site inspections to make sure the villa is well-maintained.

Do you really inspect all villas?

Yes, we do! Even after the villa has been listed on our website, we still do regular site inspections to see if the villa still lives up to our standards. We do not compromise on villa quality!

How do you guarantee the quality?

Our team of villa specialists will go out to inspect each and every villa with their own eyes to see if it matches our quality requirements before taking the villa into our listings. Once the villa is quality-approved and added to our villa collection, we still do regular site inspections to check on the maintenance of the villa. To guarantee the quality of the villas, we work with a checklist. Only the villas that pass all the points on this list make it into our exclusive villa collection. How can you guarantee the best price?

We work closely together with the owners and therefore we can guarantee the best price for all of our holiday rentals. We like to put words into action and therefore, should you find the same villa offered at a cheaper rate than our website, we will refund the difference.

How come there is no service fee? How do you make money?

We get paid directly by the villa owners. It is a simple concept; we bring customers to their villas by listing their villas on our website and the villa owner pays us for this service. This means no booking fee for you!

Booking process

Can I get some help to decide on my holiday and villa?

Most certainly you can! To find inspiration for things to do and where to stay, you can read our dedicated travel blog. In need of more personal guidance and advice? Our team of villa consultants and concierges are stand-by and ready to help out 7 days a week. Also during your stay on the island, our villa concierge is ready to assist, arranging a car and driver to go on a day trip, a trustable babysitter, a personal chef or a masseuse to come over to your villa. All is possible and nothing is too much to ask. You can be sure of excellent services!

I am not ready to confirm, can I simply enquire and place an option on a villa?

Yes, you can place an option on a villa for free. There are no credit card details required. This option will give you 3 days to think it over before you decide. Simply make a request for the villa you are interested in on the villa page by filling in your name, contact details and travel dates and you will receive a confirmation email from us. You can ask our travel consultants everything you want to know about the villa and the holiday destination. We aim to respond to emails within just 6 hours of time.

How do I confirm my booking?

Once you are ready to book the villa, we will email you instructions on how to make a payment to secure your booking.

What are the payment terms?

We ask our clients to pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental price to secure the booking of your holiday rental. The other 50% of the payment is due 60 days prior to your arrival unless stated otherwise.

What is the cancellation policy?

Deposits and balance payments are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. If you want to cancel your booking, let us know as soon as possible, we will always try to negotiate a refund. Do note that all refunds are subject to an administration fee of US$200. If you are unable to travel due to Covid-19, please check out our policies here.

What is included in the price of my rental? Do I have to pay more hidden fees or taxes?

What is included in the price of your rental may vary. Some villas offer daily complimentary breakfast and others only provide you with breakfast on the first morning of your stay. More luxurious villas may have a private chef included in the rate or a car with a chauffeur. You can find this information on the villa pages directly. There are never any hidden fees or taxes, this is all already included in the rate. We like things to be clear, honest and transparent.

What payment method do you accept? Any specific payment for people in Singapore or Australia?

There are several ways to make payments. You can pay with your credit card, you can pay with cash or cheques at our Singapore office and you can do a bank transfer to one of our local bank accounts (Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and the UK).
Payments made in currencies other than USD are based on the exchange rate from our bank on the date of payment.

How do I know that you are trustworthy?

Can I visit one of your office(s) to discuss my booking?

Yes, you are most welcome at any of our 2 front offices in Singapore, and Bali.

Do you really plant a tree for each and every booking made on the website?

Yes, we do! At this very moment, we have planted over 2000 trees to make this world a little greener day by day, one tree at the time. Find out more about this action (coming soon).

Arrival and stay

How do I find the villa? Can you arrange my airport transfer? Is it included?

From the moment you make your enquiry until the very end of your holiday, you are looked after by our travel consultants and concierges. We can arrange a personal pick-up at the airport by one of our drivers, taking you directly to your private Bali villa. You can also travel there yourself as you will be provided with the villa’s address and the manager’s contact but do note that a taxi driver might have trouble finding the villa as addresses are not commonly used here on the island and your villa is just one in thousands. We strongly recommend you to make use of our airport transfer. Airport transfers is included for most villas, you can find that information on the villa page itself.

Who will be there at the time of check-in?

The owner of the villa or his representative will be there to greet you upon arrival and show you around in your holiday home.

Who will be there during the stay? What service will I get?

All villas come with housekeeping and maintenance staff. Some villas also offer security services or luxuries such as a private chef or a chauffeur. Go directly to the villa page to see what is included and what is available at additional costs.

Is my breakfast included?

This depends on the villa. Some villas offer daily complimentary breakfast, others only serve breakfast on the first day and some offer breakfast at an additional surcharge. Simply check the villa page to find out.

What if I want to arrange activities during my stay? What do you recommend I do in Bali?

We always love to give advice and provide our customers with good ideas. You can find inspiration for your island travels on our travel blog. We have a blog for each of our villa holiday destinations. On top of that, we have specialized travel consultants and concierges who are also happy to advise and provide you with some insiders tips.

What if I need help during my stay? What if the villa is not as described? What if something doesn't work? Do you have a team on the ground?

We guarantee the quality of all of our villas. We don’t list villas that don’t live up to our high-quality standards and we do regular site inspections to make sure the villas are well-maintained and perfectly suitable to welcome our guests. However, should a problem or question arise, we are always there to support. Excellent customer service is as important to us as the quality and authenticity of our villas. We are available to help, advise and assist 7 days a week and we will deal with problems as fast as we can.

Where are you based and how long have you been around?

Villa Finder is a Singaporean-based company founded back in 2012 by David and Daniel. With the growing success in the villa rental business on the island of Bali, we opened up a customer service in Seminyak to provide the best possible customer experience in 2013, one year after the start-up. The success of Villa-Bali led to the expansion of our business to other villa holiday destinations that we love. At this very moment, we can proudly state that we have beautiful villa collections, not only on the island of Bali but also in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Samui and Phuket.
