Why should families stay in a Nusa Dua Villa?

Well, there are several reasons why families are better off staying in a private villa in Nusa Dua than staying in a resort, and let us tell you why.

First off – the space. If you have a child who still needs a daytime nap, choosing to stay in a Nusa Dua villa can be a great option. Why? Because this means you can put your little one down to sleep in a separate room while you can go outside and continue doing whatever it was you were doing. You can continue talking to your partner, swim in the pool, or watch TV and relax.

The same goes for the evening – when it’s time for the kids’ bedtime, you can still stay up as late as you want and enjoy your villa without worrying about waking the munchkins. You can have a glass of wine and actually hold a conversation. If you were confined to a hotel room, you would have to tiptoe around because you’d be too worried about making noise and waking the little one.

Second, you can eat or cook whenever you want! Young kids are always hungry and have odd eating times. This can make hotel stays rather tricky. Plus, we understand it can be hard to get your kid to wake up early in time for the hotel breakfast. But if you stay in your own private villa, you can stick to their regular mealtime routine and feed them snacks whenever they ask for it.

Third – the savings! Okay, now I know you must be confused because a villa is more expensive than a hotel room. But, hear us out. You can actually go on a vacation with another family and make it more affordable by going in on a villa holiday together. Don’t worry, there are plenty of bedrooms and living areas. You'll have loads of room to spread out without feeling on top of each other.

And lastly, no more fighting over sun loungers. With your own private pool, you’ll have your own sun loungers and parasols with no other guests to share it with. Now you and your little ones can relax in the shade without needing to rush for sunbeds at the crack of dawn!

Cap off your fun-filled day with a private masseuse in your villa for a relaxing Balinese massage—because nothing rounds off a day of exploring like some well-deserved pampering. Nusa Dua truly offers the whole package; from thrill-seeking adventures to peaceful sightseeing, there is something for every type of traveller to ensure a memorable and well-rounded holiday.

Nusa Dua is a fantastic destination for families thanks to its super family-friendly atmosphere, stunning beaches, and tons of activities suitable for all ages. One of the reasons why Nusa Dua is perfect for families is its focus on luxury accommodations that offer extensive amenities and services tailored to families with children. These resorts often provide kids' clubs, children's pools, spacious playgrounds, and all sorts of fun recreational activities to keep the little ones entertained while parents can relax and truly enjoy their vacation.

Families visiting Nusa Dua can explore the breathtaking Nusa Dua Beach, a pristine stretch of white sand that's perfect for swimming and all sorts of water sports. Geger Beach is another hugely popular spot known for its calm, crystal-clear waters, making it totally safe for children to swim and play. For a day out you'll never forget, families can visit the Bali Collection shopping complex, which features a range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options suitable for all ages.

Moreover, Water Blow in Nusa Dua is a natural phenomenon where massive waves crash against the rocks, creating an absolutely spectacular water splash that captivates visitors of all ages. Make sure to time your photo well so you can immortalize that wave splash on your Instagram feed. For the more adventurous families, you can also enjoy thrilling water sports activities such as snorkelling, banana boat rides, and jet skiing at various water sports centres along the coastline.

Additionally, the Museum Pasifika offers a cultural experience for families that's both educational and super fun, showcasing art pieces from different countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This museum provides an educational yet engaging outing for both parents and children interested in art and history.
For your first stop, witness the majestic power of the ocean by visiting the Water Blow. You’ll see gigantic waves crash on to natural volcanic rock formations. This powerful surge of water catapults into the sky, creating a spectacle reminiscent of a blowhole. Make sure to visit early morning when there are less crowds and bring a waterproof camera to take the best shots.

For a thrilling day under the sun, why not partake in some watersports like jetskiing, parasailing, snorkeling, or helmet diving at Tanjung Benoa Watersports? Then you can visit Museum Pasifika, home to a grand collection of beautiful Pan-Asian artworks which you can admire all day.

And since you are in Bali after all, why not take a surf lesson at Nusa Dua Surf School and learn how to ride a wave at Nusa Dua’s beaches. If you’re already a seasoned pro, Geger Beach has some fun waves waiting for you. If you prefer not to get your hair wet, swing some golf clubs instead at the Bali National Golf Club (dads are gonna love this one)!

Enjoy some retail therapy and delicious grub at Bali Collection. Their food pavilions have many wonderful dining options that serve both Western and local cuisine. If you want to learn how to cook yourself, sign up for a Balinese cooking class at Bumbu Bali. And if you’re craving some woodfire pizza, Nusa Dua Pizza is said to have the best slices on the island.

When you need a break from eating, don't forget to visit the beautiful beaches. Pandawa Beach, also known as the secret beach, is just a short drive away and has such soft white sand. Geger Beach right here in Nusa Dua is lovely for relaxing too - just be aware it faces east so can get quite warm!

While exploring the area, keep an eye out for local temples like Pura Geger. It's always open if you want to pop in for a visit. Puja Mandala also offers a peaceful atmosphere, tucked away amongst the luxury hotels.

And before you head back home, you must see the Devdan Show - it celebrates the rich culture and dances from across Indonesia. They put on performances several times a week at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre.

When you’re back in your villa, end the day by having a private masseuse come and give you a wonderful Balinese or Swedish massage to relieve you of your sore muscles from all the fun and adventure.
To get around Nusa Dua, there are several convenient transportation options available for visitors. One common way to explore the area is by hiring a private driver or taxi to take you to various attractions and locations within Nusa Dua. This method offers flexibility and comfort, allowing you to travel at your own pace and visit different places of interest. If you need help renting a car or driver, just let our concierge team know and we can arrange something for you.

Another popular way to get around Nusa Dua is by renting a scooter or motorcycle. This option provides a sense of freedom and allows you to navigate through the streets with ease. However, it's essential to prioritize safety by wearing a helmet and following traffic rules while riding a scooter.

You can also use ride-hailing apps like Grab and Gojek in Nusa Dua. However, there are fewer drivers here than there are in busier areas like Kuta and Seminyak. You might have to wait a while before a driver accepts your booking.
The best time to travel to Nusa Dua, Bali, is during the dry season, which typically runs from April to October. This period offers sunny days, less rainfall, and lower humidity, making it ideal for outdoor activities, sightseeing, and enjoying the beautiful beaches that Nusa Dua has to offer.

Visiting during the dry season allows you to explore the attractions comfortably without the interruption of heavy rain. The months of July and August are particularly popular among tourists due to the pleasant weather and clear skies, making it a great time to indulge in water sports, relax on the beaches, or explore the cultural sites around Nusa Dua.

However, it's essential to keep in mind that the dry season is also the peak tourist season in Bali, including Nusa Dua, so you can expect larger crowds and higher prices during this time. If you prefer a quieter and more budget-friendly experience, consider traveling during the shoulder months of April, May, September, or October when the weather is still favorable, and the tourist influx is not as intense.
