Villa Windu Asri is a resort-style vacation residence that epitomizes vintage – circa late 1800s to early 1900s – western luxury and style. Designed for extended families, big groups of friends or large parties with discriminating, even impeccable, taste, the villa’s stately buildings are all lavishly appointed – accentuated by classy, recurring elements that also suggest an underlying travel motif. Although reminiscent of affluent living that prevailed during the turn of the century, the villa is also provided with the most modern amenities to assure absolute convenience for every guest. At Villa Windu Asri, you will, truly, get to experience the nostalgia, romance and grandeur of a glorious, bygone era.
The villa has six bedrooms. Four of these are in the main villa. These bedrooms have canopied, king-sized beds and dedicated bathrooms with bathtubs and rain showers. Two other bedrooms are in a detached unit right behind the pool beds at one end of the swimming pool. Both bedrooms have twin beds and dedicated bathrooms.
13 x 8 x 1.6 m
Surrounded by the villa’s stunning edifices – in their predominantly coordinated color scheme of white, blue and gray – is the 13-meter, rectangular swimming pool. Jump into its beckoning, glassy waters for some mindless wading or for some splashy fun and games. If you wish to bathe, instead, in the sun, lazily lie on the cushioned, rattan pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas on the stone pool deck. If you prefer the cool shade, you can leisurely lounge on the wide day beds or on the large and long, cushioned, woven wood couches at the semi-open, high-ceilinged poolside bale. Or, on the cushioned, woven wood chairs under the covered terrace extending from the main villa.
At one end of the swimming pool is the breezy, semi-open, high-ceilinged pavilion. Set up at one side is the living area. Around the hefty and long as well as cushioned, wood woven couches and reclining chairs you can all converge and converse. At the opposite side is the dining area with its long, wooden table for 10. Here, you can get a taste of authentic local cuisine – as well as foreign favorites – freshly cooked by the in-house chef at the villa’s ultra-modern kitchen. At the center of the pavilion is a bar where you can all gather for cocktails or after-dinner drinks. A more formal dining area – with classic dining furniture – is on the ground level of the main villa. On the second level of the main villa is a cinema room. Here, you can all catch your must-not-miss TV show or watch – once again – your most beloved film.
In charge of carrying out the villa’s daily services is a staff composed of a manager, a personal guest assistant, a pool attendant, a gardener, housekeepers and security personnel. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may be called in upon your request. Their services, however, come with a separate charge.
Villa Windu Asri is located in Petitenget at the edge of Seminyak – the center of tourism in Bali. Start your day trip giving in to your shopaholic desires at The Village and at Seminyak Square where you’ll discover fashionista essentials, novelties, souvenirs and presents. When you’re just about to drop, you’ll know it’s time to satisfy your foodie cravings. Make your way to the Oberoi District’s Eat Street and have your fill at the strip’s casual to fine-dining restaurants. Must-try places include Hu’u, La Lucciola, Mamasan, Merah Putih, Metis, Sardine and Sarong. Spend the afternoon at Legian Beach for a glimpse of the breathtaking sunset. 10/10We travelled to Bali for the first time with our two young children and stayed at Villa Windu Asri. The rooms are beautiful with stunning outdoor bathrooms. There is a lovely communal area for either relaxation or gathering with friends for yummy cocktails and beautiful bali banquets. There was a removable pool fence that was just brilliant with young children and we cannot speak highly enough about the staff and service. Amazing!
