10/10We lucked out finding Bangkuang as our original choice was booked - and THANK GOODNESS for that! Villa Bangkuang was such a pleasant surprise... it is OPEN - not walled in like most of the villas here. The views overlook the sunset over rice paddies and the ocean beyond. The pool was big and the perfect temperature. But we were especially impressed with how much of the cultural feeling we received walking around the area without being so far from the hub. It was a great mix of old versus new. There was a local neighborhood vibe - and the staff was warm and so accommodating. We will be making Bangkuang an annual holiday place.
