Where to start? The beautiful beach is just steps from many Candidasa villas. Spend your mornings watching the sunrise over the Indian Ocean, then swim and relax all day by your villa’s infinity pool.
The most stunning stretches of white sand are just a short trip away! Within easy reach, you'll find the gorgeous white shores of Pantai Pasir Putih, Virgin Beach, Blue Lagoon, and Bias Tugal Beach. All remain delightfully quiet spots to escape the crowds.
And of course, you can’t miss out on snorkelling or diving to explore the abundant marine life offshore. Candidasa is a great base for day trips to explore the underwater world of the east coast, including Amed, Tulamben, the Gili Islands (not to be confused with the one in Lombok), and Jemeluk Bay.
For some cultural sites, make sure to visit the Besakih Temple, which is considered to be the most sacred temple on the island. The water temples of Tirta Gangga Water Gardens and Taman Ujung Water Palace are also a sight to behold, with beautiful gardens and ponds that serve as a beautiful backdrop for a cute photo op.
The Candidasa Lotus Lagoon is another spot to check out. You’ll find hundreds of the most beautiful pink and purple lotuses floating around the water. Candidasa is one of those places I always suggest if you want to see Bali at a slower pace. What I love here is the quiet charm: calm beaches, small fishing villages, and a laid-back vibe that feels far from the crowds in the south. It’s also a great base to explore East Bali, whether it’s snorkeling at Blue Lagoon, visiting ancient temples like Lempuyang, or taking a drive through rice terraces and hills. The villas in Candidasa are spacious and peaceful, many with oceanfront views where you can hear the waves as you fall asleep. When I stay here, mornings usually start with a swim or snorkel, afternoons with a book by the pool, and evenings enjoying a seafood dinner by the sea.
