Prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan en de vallei, alleen maar natuurgeluiden, ver weg van de drukte en op slechts 3 km van het strand, dat is wat je te binnen schiet als je denkt aan deze prachtige retraite met 2 slaapkamers. Villa Sanglung is een werkelijk adembenemend vakantieverblijf op een heuveltop in Noord-Bali, waar je een adembenemend uitzicht hebt terwijl je wordt omringd door ongerepte Balinese landschappen. Deze villa is perfect voor wie op zoek is naar rust en luxe in een prachtig ontworpen tropisch paviljoen met een traditioneel rieten dak en een elegante inrichting.
In het paviljoen zijn er 2 slaapkamersuites met airconditioning en een smetteloos wit interieur dat contrasteert met het houten meubilair, waardoor het een serene en vredige sfeer uitstraalt. Er zijn comfortabele queensize bedden om op te slapen en de en-suite badkamers zijn deels buiten gebouwd met natuurstenen en voorzien van regendouches + extra douchekoppen, geweldig om de kleintjes te douchen en een van de badkamers heeft zelfs een ontspannend bad.

De villa wordt omringd door weelderig groene tropische schoonheid, mangobomen en bloeiende planten. Volg de stenen trap naar de veranda waar je kunt zonnebaden op een van de ligbedden of spring direct in het overloopzwembad dat is gebouwd met natuurstenen en je een spectaculair oceaanzicht biedt. Het zwembad heeft een ondiep gedeelte waar de kinderen veilig kunnen spelen terwijl jij baantjes trekt, overdag een dutje doet of een boek leest en op de veranda kun je genieten van een alfresco diner terwijl je naar Bali's betoverende zonsondergang kijkt en van heerlijke tropische drankjes nipt.
Het leven wordt niet beter dan loungen en dineren in dit open tropische paviljoen met alang-alang dak en ruime veranda. De inrichting is elegant en minimalistisch met enkele smaakvolle traditionele kunstwerken, antieke houten meubels en een teakhouten vloer, terwijl het natuurlijke licht een warme sfeer geeft aan de ruimte. Geniet van het ontbijt aan de houten eettafel en 's avonds kun je een film kijken op de comfortabele bank met drankjes in de buurt aan de salontafel. De volledig uitgeruste keuken ligt tussen de slaapkamers in en er is ook een derde badkamer voor extra gasten.
Villa Sanglung heeft vriendelijk personeel dat voor je zorgt tijdens je verblijf met persoonlijke service en dagelijkse schoonmaak. Het dagelijkse ontbijt is bij de prijs inbegrepen en voor lunch, diner en snacks kun je kiezen van het geprijsde menu, dat ook een heerlijke BBQ biedt. Het personeel kan een auto met chauffeur regelen om de omgeving en hotspots te verkennen en je kunt een in-house massage of yogales boeken. Extra bedden zijn beschikbaar voor een meerprijs, waardoor het totaal aantal gasten kan oplopen tot 8.
Villa Sanglung ligt buiten de gebaande paden, op een heuveltop van Noord-Bali. Een mooie maar hobbelige rit van 3 km naar beneden leidt je naar het strand van Air Sanih met een aantal charmante restaurants en bars. Je kunt gemakkelijk de belangrijkste attracties van Noord-Bali bezoeken, zoals watervallen, tempels, de warmwaterbronnen van Banjar, de dolfijnen in Lovina en de op een na grootste stad van Bali; Singaraja, dat op slechts 30 minuten rijden ligt. Als je van snorkelen en duiken houdt, mag je een uitstapje naar het eiland Menjangan zeker niet overslaan . De grote supermarkt Carrefour ligt op 20 minuten rijden, maar het personeel doet graag boodschappen voor je. Het culturele centrum van Ubud ligt op 46 km afstand.
10/10The villa is beautiful with amazing views, very calm and peaceful and perfect for family. The staff were very helpful and responsive, we had the BBQ for dinner, the staff came and cooked at the villa which was a nice touch. I'd highly recommend this villa and we will be visiting again soon!

Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, lovely and helpful staff ☺️ we always feel here like at our own home and that’s the biggest compliment we can give ??
10/10Amazing place to stay with peaceful and beautiful surrounds. Staffs were very attentive, kind and helpful. If you fancy a super relaxing experience, away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, Kuta etc, then this villa is highly recommended. The boat trip available nearby to see dolphins and snorkel with tropical fish is also very special.
8.8/10Place was extremely well accommodated and spacious for our group of 2 couples, just nice occupying 1 bedroom each. Both bedrooms are attached with a bathroom, very good for privacy - one with bathtub & shower, the other, without the tub. It was approximately a 3 hour drive from the Ngurah Rai Airport and an additional 20 mins spent at a supermarket shopping for our own grocery supplies, being aware of the villa's secluded location. It is indeed best to hire the villa's own driver/transportation as the pathway entrance onwards the villa is extremely bumpy (abt 15mins, I think), passing thru a small village community and the jungle trees; coming across chickens, cows, dogs and wild boars! It was a cool experience, and it helped traveling with a bunch of fun & positive-minded people. For those not familiar with the area may get lost! Alas upon arrival, we were welcomed with an AMAZING view, the bumpy roads were forgotten! Ari & his team were all very friendly and all smiles. Ari advised us on the formalities for our stay, providing us with a mobile phone with his & Lou's (villa staff) contact number - very thoughtful. Food was tasteful too, the villa staff (all ladies) would come and cook, prepare, and lay the table for our meals. KUE LUMPUR (dessert) is very much recommended - we had it twice during our 2 nights' stay. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Do note, it is in a jungle, surrounded by nature (trees/flowers/bugs/chickens/dogs/birds/bats) - you'd have 'company' wherever u are in the villa. :) However, the peace & quiet, the picturesque view & huge pool, where u can juz lay on a lounge float all day long makes it all worthwhile! That is IF you are okay with such environment. Plus, there's WIFI! :) Special thanks to Kim (owner), Ari (Team Manager), Gede (our driver for the 3 days - thank you for entertaining our craziness driving us here & there. Drive safe!), to Lou and the ladies who prepared our meals, and the rest of the team who made us feel very welcomed/safe/secured, respected our privacy, and upkeeping the villa. Thank you!
10/10Me and my partner decided to stay at this villa because of the crazy view from the pictures. The villa is located very far from any amenities and in the middle of the jungle. It is definitely a total disconnection from places such as ubud or seminyak. It is not a touristic location so for people who wants to be completely isolated and disconnected from the touristic areas, then it is the ideal place the stay. On top of this the view is definitely worthwhile! I would like to point out that the villa is in the middle of the jungle, so do not be surprised to meet any types of insects. Even if the owner would spend all the money of the world the make the place as comfortable as possible, bare in mind that because of the location, things like insects are unavoidable! Another thing that I would like to point out is that this place is very far from anything, there is basically no shops, stores or restaurants nearby so everything needs to be done in the villa but do not worry as the employees are very accommodating. I would like to say a special thanks to Ari who was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for people who loves nature, and who are not afraid of the jungle environment. The icing on the cake is that it supports the local community!
10/10This is not a place where you go to party, but to RELAX. And boy, did we do that here! Starting with the amazing infinity pool with an breathtaking ocean/sunset view (very Instagram-worthy, haha). The villa's are also picture perfect: they look like traditional Balinese houses and are very well decorated with lot of modern touches. For example, they even had a sound system with which you can play your own music very easily. With two bedrooms the villa can cater very well for four people (we were just with the two of us). But also six if you don't mind sharing a bedroom (with air conditioning!) or sleeping in the open air. There was a lot of peace and quiet and we barely felt the need to leave the house, also because the lovely staff makes you breakfast (included in the rate), but they also serve lunch and dinner and the 'minibar'/fridge in the kitchen is very well stocked. There are three villa's in total, but felt like we were the only people there, sound-wise. You have a lot of privacy. Since the house is located in the far north with a quite bumpy road leading to it, we were glad we used the car service they provide. It takes you about three hours to get there from the airport. We also booked the drivers for some day trips. Very convenient! And you call them with the mobile phone that is provided in the villa. That's a really nice touch, a local phone you are able to use. You can also use it to reach the owners, who are extremely helpful in pointing out nice things to see and do in the area. We were very lucky to find this place and hope to return in the future
