Gili islands villas for rent

Just a hop, skip and a boat ride (or quick flight) away from Bali, visitors can easily access any of the three Gili Islands in under 3 hours. Horse-drawn carriages replace cars and motorbikes on these islands, which are only a small fraction of Bali’s size, and are much quieter too!

Located off of the island of Lombok, Bali’s eastern neighbor, the trio of Gili Islands consists of Gili Trawangan (aka Gili T), Gili Air and Gili Meno. One of the most popular destinations in all of Indonesia, Gili T is especially sought after for its lively beach shack atmosphere, white ribbons of sandy coastline and Coral Triangle diving sites.

The focus for most Gili island travellers is the sand and sea - so enjoying the islands’ paradisiacal beaches will be a major part of your itinerary. Lounge upon the powdery sand as you soak up the golden rays, and catch the daily sunrise and sunset shows. But if you’re craving some action, there’s plenty to choose - will it be snorkeling, freediving, scuba diving or surfing?

Surfers may make their way to the southern ends of Gili T and Gili Air to ride the waves. Snorkeling off the beaches is possible, but you’ll need to pay attention to the currents, as these may be strong even if staying close to the shores. Or join in a snorkeling day trip around the island - your villa manager will gladly assist in making arrangements for an excursion or equipment rental.

There’re good dive sites and scuba diving lessons around the island, but if you’re looking for a novel experience and haven’t yet tried freediving, you’ll find freediving courses and workshops available on all three islands.

The serenity of the islands may motivate you to adopt a more mindful approach to starting your day. A rejuvenating yoga class is a great way to do so, and you’ll find classes on Gili T (The Yoga Place and Gili Yoga) and Gili Air (H2O Yoga & Meditation Center). Or round up your fellow travellers for a D.I.Y. yoga retreat in your villa. Your sessions may be self-conducted, but if you’d prefer to engage a yoga instructor, your villa manager will readily assist.

Renting a villa on the Gili Islands offers an experience like no other. Here you’ll wake up to unobstructed views of the coast, be lulled to sleep by the sonorous sounds of the sea, enjoy direct access to the beach and be soothed by the zen, serene vibes of your surroundings. Featuring traditional Balinese design elements and rustic touches, you’ll feel like you’ve truly travelled back in time to a remote destination unspoilt by modern developments. Have a great time chilling out!
