Shamballa Moon is een villa van twee verdiepingen die de hedendaagse Balinese rustieke chic typeert. Efficiënt gebruik makend van de beschikbare ruimte, zijn de interieurs - met een overwegend wit kleurenschema - ingericht met een mix van meesterlijk vervaardigde, complementaire verweerde en geweven houten meubelen en stukken. De voorzieningen zijn van hotel- en resortkwaliteit - om elke gast volledig comfort en afleiding te garanderen. Gelegen in een weelderige canyon met uitzicht op de Wos River Valley, Shamballa Moon biedt u een verblijf met een sfeer die, tegelijkertijd, afgelegen, intiem en zelfs romantisch is.
De villa heeft slechts één slaapkamer op de tweede verdieping. Deze slaapkamer heeft een vier-post en gedrapeerd kingsize bed en een eigen badkamer. Op de begane grond is een semi-open badkamer met een buiten regendouche en een vrijstaand bad. Deze slaapkamer komt uit op een gemeubileerd balkon met een perfect uitzicht op de majestueuze berg Agung.

Het middelpunt van de buitenkant van de villa is het zes meter lange zwembad. Neem een duik in het kristalheldere water en waad in stilte maar bewust van elkaars aanwezigheid. Vanuit het water kunt u liggen op de kussens, geweven houten bedden bij het zwembad, gedeeltelijk overdekt door grote parasols op het houten dek bij het zwembad. Of leun achterover op de bank van geweven hout in de schaduw van de gedrapeerde baal aan de andere kant van het zwembad - temidden van de geuren en geluiden van de natuur.
Op de luchtige, halfopen begane grond van de villa bevindt zich het woongedeelte. Rond de sofa met kussens en stoelen van verweerd hout voor een breedbeeld TV, kunt u beiden uw favoriete programma's bekijken. Of, nog een keer, kijken naar uw meest geliefde date of romantische komedie films. Op het overdekte terras bij het zwembad met hoge plafonds bevindt zich de eethoek met een ronde, houten tafel die plaats biedt aan vier personen. Hier kan een alfresco diner bij kaarslicht worden opgezet, compleet met live muziek gespeeld door lokale muzikanten op inheemse instrumenten.
De dagelijkse diensten van de villa worden verzorgd door een staf die bestaat uit een persoonlijke assistent voor de gasten, een huishoudster, een tuinman en een bewaker. Op uw verzoek kan een beroep worden gedaan op een chauffeur, een hulp in de wasserij en een spa therapeut. Hun diensten zullen echter apart in rekening worden gebracht. Fiets-, scooter- en autoverhuur zijn ook beschikbaar.
Shamballa Moon is gevestigd in het kleine dorpje Payogan. Vanuit de villa, op slechts zeven minuten rijden met de auto ligt het centrum van Ubud - het hart van kunst en cultuur in Bali waar u een dagtocht kunt maken naar de Goa Gajah Olifantengrot, het Puri Saren Koninklijk Paleis, het Blanco Renaissance Museum, het Agung Rai Museum Of Art en het Setia Darma House Of Masks. De beste eetgelegenheden zijn Mozaic, Nuri's en Fly Café. Bij een andere gelegenheid kunt u een dagtocht maken naar het Ubud Monkey Forest, de iconische Tegallalang Rice Terraces, de Campuhan Ridge Walk, het Bali Bird And Reptile Park en de Tegenungan Waterfall.
9.6/10Such a beautiful villa in a peaceful spot that is worth the stay. It was very private which is exactly what we wanted and were after since we spent most of our time there relaxing in or by the pool. There was were nice food spot though you’ll need to drive if you want other restaurants which the staff were more than happy to organise. Communication with staff made a lot of things easier like organising transport, food and other services, the staff were happy to help and super friendly.
10/10This is our first time to Bali & Shamballa Moon. We have had the most amazing honeymoon. We really do not want it to end. The villa is superb and the staff are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for having us and accommodating us with the utmost care, love and attention. We will shout about this place from the rooftops and recommend Shamballa Moon to everyone we know. 9.6/10Our stay at this villa was nothing short of amazing. The staff was so accommodating and kind to us. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of nature, swimming in the pool, and the food was incredible. We would love to be back here again when we come back to Bali!

10/10I would recommend Shamballa Moon to anyone looking to experience secluded luxury. Nestled among the beautiful forest like area it is a beautiful location to unwind and relax. The staff are beyond accommodating. The villa itself is just incredible. I love it.
8.4/10Shamballa Moon is a cute shabby chic style villa perfect for 1 couple. The staff was very attentive and made sure my husband and I were comfortable. The villa is a bit out of the way from the Ubud hustle and bustle, which was fine for us, since we have been to Ubud a few times before. It requires a driver to be called, which was easy to do, however, the cost was around 70,000 each way regardless of how many km we were from a restaurant. My husband and I live in Indonesia and had to renegotiate pricing with the drivers, who we felt weren't being completely honest. The bedroom was very cute, but going up stairs could pose a problem for older travelers and was a bit difficult for me being 6 months pregnant. Having two bathrooms was great and the outdoor bath after our in villa massage was beautiful with flowers. The bugs and wasps around the property were biting, but that comes with living in Indonesia. Some guests may not like the Tokay geckos that are around the inside, but it wasn't a problem for us.

9.2/10We loved everything about Shamballa Moon beautiful natural landscape , the decor of the Villa tasteful and appealing and for us a most relaxing place to stay and enjoy.We were there for four days and did not venture out at all except for a short walk one day, we had all of our meals in the Villa as the food menu and the food was very good also the prices were quite reasonable.we would love to go back to Shamballa Moon again. One note of caution, in my opinion the stairs going up to the bedroom need a proper handrail that goes all the way down I suggest they go on the wall side as they are you need to be very careful and watch your step.
10/10Villa MAGNIFIQUE. nous avons adoré notre séjour. La salle de bain est à tomber par terre, la chambre et son balcon un rêve, la terrasse, la piscine... que du bonheur. Même la localisation est sympa; au calme, loin de l'agitation d'Ubud. Staff adorable.

10/10Pretty nice place. The highlight by far is the breakfast by the pool, followed by a swim as the sun rises over the jungle. By 11am the sun is overhead and by lunchtime its gone over the house which is a shame - but kind of good cause you tend to leave the villa and go exploring every day. Kadek is an excellent little chef. Her pineapple pancakes are unique and tasty. and traditional balinese food was great. However, staying in Ubud, you'd be silly to eat in the villa every day with the amount of quality restaurants and lunch cafes around the place. The location is excellent also, 5km to the Ubud town centre, and the villa can organise you a 110cc scooter for 7 dollars a day. The two best day spas (tripadvisor) in Ubud are both within walking distance (one is 200m away) which is handy. I thought it was probably a little expensive though, but thats what you have to pay for privacy and to have your own villa and not have to share a pool like in a hotel.
10/10this review is long overdue. we stayed at moon in october. the staff greeted us with flower leis and cold fruit drinks. the villa is beautiful opens onto the pool and lush green garden. the villa itself is luxurious boasting 2 bathrooms and an outdoor tub. the staff is always there for any needs, but are never intrusive. kedek, mini and all the wayans do an excellent job at running the villa. kedek is a wonderful cook and we enjoyed many delicious meals at the villa. both wendy and atsu give great advice on bali and ubud and are there for any questions. we truly had a magical experience and we very sad to leave. but it's great to know such a place exists to welcome us back anytime. i can't say enough good things about shamballa moon.
10/10My wife and I had our first family holiday with our 5 month old son at Shamballa Moon. The property was exactly what we had hoped it would be, peaceful surrounds with a view across the treetops sitting by the infinity pool catching the suns rays. What made the venue all the more special was the attentive staff who always went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. The meals at the villa were fantastic and the arranged day trips allowed us to take in the sites around Ubud in air conditioned comfort. All in all our stay at Shamballa Moon was a wonderful relaxing break thanks to a great property the friendly people on site.
10/10The villa is very lovely. It is open, nicely decorated, simple but yet sophisticated. And it looks just like what is shown on the website. The surrounding was so serene. We went there for a relaxing trip, the relaxed feeling was instantaneous. You could feel it as soon as you walk in. We already plan to go back soon. Oh and the staffs are amazing...attentive but not overwhelming...Thank you...
