Villa Gils ligt verscholen in het rustige dorpje Mendira aan de oostkust van Bali, slechts één huis achter de waterkant. Deze luxueuze villa met vier slaapkamers, ongetwijfeld gelegen op een van de meest betoverende locaties van het eiland, is ideaal voor wie de drukte van de stad wil ontvluchten en de serene kant van het eiland Bali wil ontdekken. Op slechts enkele minuten van het stadje Candidasa en talrijke afgelegen stranden garandeert een verblijf in Villa Gils ontspanning en volledige rust.
Candidasa is een vredige kustbestemming die voortdurend profiteert van verbeteringen aan de infrastructuur. We willen u erop wijzen dat er momenteel op ongeveer 50 meter van de villa een strandverbeteringsproject van de overheid plaatsvindt om een nieuw pad langs het strand aan te leggen.
Afhankelijk van de fase waarin de werkzaamheden zich bevinden, kan er overdag af en toe bouwlawaai zijn; het tijdschema en de intensiteit van de werkzaamheden kunnen variëren. Als blijk van waardering voor uw begrip hebben we al een speciale korting toegepast, waardoor u de villa tegen een uitzonderlijk voordelige prijs kunt genieten terwijl u de schoonheid en charme van Candidasa ervaart.

De hoofdslaapkamer van Villa Gils bevindt zich op de bovenste verdieping van het hoofdwoonpaviljoen. Het is een ruime suite met airconditioning en een kingsize hemelbed in het midden.
Naast de hoofdslaapkamer bevindt zich een tweede familie-slaapkamer, compleet met twee aparte bedden die ook tot een kingsize bed kunnen worden omgevormd. Deze kamers naast elkaar zijn vooral ideaal voor ouders die met jonge kinderen of baby's reizen, aangezien extra babybedjes kunnen worden verstrekt zonder extra kosten. Ook op de bovenverdieping van de villa is een overdekt terras waar u heerlijk kunt loungen en genieten van het uitzicht op de oceaan op slechts enkele tientallen meters afstand. Gebruik dit openlucht balkon om te ontspannen op het dagbed of geniet van een privé massage door uw eigen spa therapeut.
De twee extra gastenkamers van Villa Gils bevinden zich op de begane grond in een paviljoen met rieten dak en privé veranda's met uitzicht op het zwembad. Elk van deze slaapkamers is voorzien van airconditioning en biedt flexibele bedconfiguraties, van pluche kings tot individuele singles indien nodig. En-suite badkamers zijn ook verbonden aan beide slaapkamers bij het zwembad, met buitendouches en overdekte wastafels en toiletten.

Vlak voor het hoofdgebouw staat een set van zes ligstoelen en het 25 meter lange zwembad, ontworpen met een kleine paadjeszone voor de kinderen die van het diepe gedeelte is gescheiden door een drijvend stenen voetpad. Een alfresco dining balé bevindt zich naast het zwembad, nog een plek om samen te komen voor ochtendmaaltijden, drankjes bij zonsondergang en avondfeesten. Er is ook een Alang-Alang gazebo met zitkussens voor als u wilt hangen en opdrogen van het zwembad.
Naast de gastenkamers op de begane grond bevindt zich de luchtige, open woon- en eetruimte. In het midden staat een zes persoons cocktailbar en chique keukenruimte voor het maken van gespecialiseerde cocktails en gerechten. Kom hier samen of in de gezellige sofa lounge op een steenworp afstand waar u samen een DVD kunt kijken, een boek kunt lezen of een bordspel kunt spelen. Wat u ook kiest, u hoeft nooit te kiezen tussen binnen- of buitenleven met een woonkamer die uitkijkt op een weelderige groene tuin en een rond zwembad.
Villa Gils is liefdevol bemand met vijf full-time professionals, onder leiding van de uitzonderlijke manager Wayan die een bank is van lokale kennis, tips en contacten. Wat u ook wenst voor uw reis naar Candidasa en Bali als geheel, het team van Villa Gils zal ervoor zorgen dat uw wensen worden vervuld. Snorkelen bij Mendira Beach? Geen probleem. Diner reserveren bij het dichtstbijzijnde restaurant aan het strand? Geregeld! Villa Gils ligt in het rustige Balinees dorp Mendira, vlak bij de zwarte vulkanische kustlijn van Oost-Bali en in de buurt van de populaire stad Candidasa. De zee is kalm en hierdoor geweldig voor gezinnen met kinderen. Mendira Beach heeft adembenemende koraalriffen en kleurrijke vissen, waardoor het zeer geschikt is om te snorkelen. Een heerlijk diner kunt u vinden bij Vincent's, een Jazz bar en restaurant met een stijlvolle ambiance en uitzicht op de oceaan.
10/10We had an absolutely wonderful stay at villa gils. The villa was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed, for a comfortable stay. The hospitality from villa staff was phenomenal. They looked after us with so much care and professionalism. This was by far the most outstanding experience.

9.6/10What an amazing place. Absolutely superb in all aspects… Vila Gils is immaculately clean, comfortable and great value. The staff were amazing, highly professional and couldn’t do enough to help. They were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. The pool is huge, a decent depth (1.7m at the deeper end) and a perfect temperature. The rooms and bathrooms were fantastic, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the four bedrooms have aircon, had a luxurious feel, including the beds which were very comfortable. Breakfasts are included and are of a really high standard. There’s a choice including nasi goreng, omelette or a variety of bacon and eggs in addition to fresh fruit, toast, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Lunch and evening meals are also available, which we had a couple of times, and were also of a very high standard and great value. There are plenty of warungs within easy walking distance which were amazing too. Warung Padang Kecag and Warung B’Tok were stand outs, although Warung Bintang was exceptional value and quality - but was a short drive away in Candidasa. We’re a family of five including two teenagers. We all loved our time at Vila Gil’s and could not fault any aspect of it and will certainly return. Wayan and her team helped with offering advice and organising some transport and excursions for us which was a great help. Overall, a superb villa set in beautiful private gardens and staffed by an amazing team.
10/10We had a fantastic time at Villa Gils. The villa's design is quite unique with a lot of open space that gives a sense of true emersion in nature. Well equipped and kept in great condition, very clean. The on-site team led by Wayan was fantastic. Great cooking, service, tips, help & support during our stay. Kids loved the large pool, which was at a very comfortable temperature during our stay. The downward sloping design worked very well for us to feel safe letting our 6 year old son play in it with very limited supervision. Highly recommended.
9/10The villa is spectacular, beautiful and very well located in terms of the many good cafes nearby. What definitely needs to change: guests are offered their own kitchen, and there is not a single piece of cutlery or plate in the kitchen! If you need any of it, you have to go to the kitchen staff and ask for it to be given to you. At the same time, as soon as you have eaten, the staff comes, washes it all and takes it back to their kitchen! It is simply impossible to eat properly! The bathroom on the second floor is almost completely without a roof, sootvetstvenno in the rain it is impossible to wash there.

9.2/10The villa is located in a quiet part of the island, still devoid of tourists. The team takes care of us every day, from breakfast to dinner (served until very late). The team helped us plan and book our entire stay (we appreciated the lunch boxes when we left at 02:00 am for an excursion). The staff are very friendly and helpful.

10/10Our experience at Villa Gils was top notch from start to finish. Our host /staff team leader Wayan introduced us to the property and made us feel right at home from the get-go. We were staying at the villa with 3 generations; my elderly parents (70s), me and my wife (50s) and our daughter and her boyfriend (20s). The villa was well-appointed and clean. The swimming pool did not disappoint and the garden and outdoor living spaces were absolutely wonderful. Also, the food that was served from the available menu was amazing. Fresh, tasty and of good quality. We liked it so much that we were tempted to spend our entire stay in the compound but ultimately decided to go on some small trips after all. Besides the villa and all of its amenities, what made our stay especially great was the interaction with the supporting staff in the villa. Wayan (and the rest of her team) made us feel like family and saying goodbye after 4 nights was hard. We would gladly return to this villa in the future. Also, the support we received from the Villa Finder team was great. Although we did not need them, the fact that they checked up on us often to see if everything was alright was really appreciated!
