Villa Shinta Dewi is a contemporary luxury villa located in a quiet sleepy village, near to the centre of Ubud. With three luxury bedrooms, a huge garden with an inviting infinity pool and an amazingly dedicated staff, you are in for a wonderful holiday on the island of a thousand temples.
The master suite is found on the first floor, adjoined by a breezy balcony. The teak floor is enriched by a plush red carpet and the suede lounge chair is just perfect for watching television before sleep. There is a deluxe king-size bed with a pull-out extra twin bed that is available upon request. The dressing-room is equipped with a mini fridge, an electronic safe, kimonos and slippers and the marble en-suite bathroom boasts a bathtub with view.
The two guest bedrooms open up to the other side of the balcony and they are deigned identically, fitted with twin beds which together make one large double bed. The rooms also feature TVs with DVD-players and spacious wardrobe closet with mini bars and safety boxes. The marble en-suites feature showers with view.

The centrepiece of the villa is the 16 metre swimming pool sparkling in the heart of the estate, inviting you to jump in right on the spot. The pool deck holds a Balinese gazebo which is an ideal place to enjoy an alfresco meal or simply to relax with a drink, watching the kids play in the water. The pool is surrounded by lush greenery as well as comfortable sun loungers to catch that gorgeous tropical tan. Further down the garden, where you can hear the calming sound of the rushing river, there is a BBQ area for lovely garden dinner parties.
Villa Shinta Dewi welcomes you in its elegant contemporary living pavilion designed open-plan, creating a perfect balance between tropical and modern living. In the centre, in front of a beautifully Balinese-carved wall, there is a deluxe comfy sofa lounge on a plush red carpet and for dinning there is a teak dining table. The villa features a dry and a wet kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need. For those wanting to keep in shape there is a private gym and there a study room with a library of books for those seeking some quiet time. The Bose 4 zone sound System, sets the right vibe in all the villas living spaces, including the garden. Upstairs there is an open-sided entertainment lounge featuring a huge flat-screen TV with international channels and surround sound speakers.
Villa Shinta Dewi is fully staffed with butlers, maids and security guards. The is complimentary laundry service and a free shuttle bringing you to the centre of Ubud twice a day. Baby-cot, high chair and pool-fence are available upon request.
Villa Shinta Dewi has a great location, hidden away in a quiet rural village at the peaceful river side yet it is just a short drive from the cultural centre of Ubud and close to lots of activities in the surrounding areas such as Elephant riding, white water rafting or cycling through the emerald rice fields. In Ubud you can sniff up some culture, practise Yoga at the iconic Yoga Barn and wander through the Monkey Forest. Ubud has lots of restaurants and health cafés to take a well deserved break after shopping at the local souvenir market or just exploring the lively centre on foot.

8.4/10This villa had 5 girls jaws drop as we walked in! Everything was very clean, set up beautifully and had wonderful staff welcome us, help with bags and give us an introduction into the villa. The rooms are very nice with plenty of amenities, toiletries, sewing kits, fresh fruit, bottled water, soda waters etc! This may be due to the villa being under new management, which we were advised of on arrival. The staff served an amazing breakfast every morning, coffee and juice, fresh fruit, toast/pastries and a meal of your choice (eggs, pancakes, avo toast, Nasi goreng), this was amazing!! We arranged fo staff to cook us dinner one night and it was very yummy, would recommend this! The staff were always happy to help arrange drivers, activities and cleaned the rooms every morning. If we were going from the villa to the centre of town, the staff would drive us in their brand new car, very comfy! Very nice place to stay and it was nice knowing their was a security staff member out the front during the nights.

10/10What an incredible way to end our 3 week vacation in Asia. Wayan, Ayu and all the staff have been incredible, attentive, respectful, helpful,accommodating, and so friendly. The villa itself is stunning. my mom, husband and two adult daughters enjoyed every minute being here. it was hard for us to leave to experience the rest of Ubud. Which means we just have to come back. Thank you again for everything. much love.

We can't wait to come back and visit again, 5 adults in our group and we felt like we were Kings and Queens! So much space, easily room for a few more people. The staff really went above and beyond for us!

10/10This was the first time we stayed in a villa (as opposed to a hotel) and we were not disappointed. From the first moment Wayan (our fabulous manager) greeted us, we felt like kings. We didn't realise we would actually have staff at hand all day every day so this was a pleasant surprise! The rooms were lovely and worked really well with 3 couples and 1 toddler. One very large master bedroom and 2 fairly small but lovely double rooms, all had their own ensuite, tv's and minibar. The large sitting area upstairs was nice for watching a movie and the downstairs study/4th bedroom was good for my daughter to retreat to to watch a movie. The little gym in the corner is actually pretty good! Only used by the boys in the house but was a nice addition There are some yoga mats there also. The pool area is beautiful and inviting. It was a little frisk sometimes so the pool could have been a wee bit warmer but not a big deal. Wayan and the team were always there to help us with anything we needed. Catering wise, the breakfast that was prepared for us each day was fabulous, as was the other food we ordered. We were a bit dissapointed by the included Balinese BBQ only because everything was extremely spicy that no-one could actually eat it. Just ask them to cook a meal with no chilli or curry powder. We chose to eat out most of the time as Ubud has amazing restaurants but but when we decided to stay in, we got home delivery which the staff were at hand to order for us and clean up afterwards. They had a Sonos music system which was a lovely addition. The team: I can't rate them highly enough. They were there but never intrusive. Wayan was amazing. Our rooms were made up every day and the grounds kept immaculate. The only thing we could have benefited from is a bit more help planning our days. Having some organised day tours with our driver would have been great and a folder we could flick through with recommended restaurants, tours, and upcoming local events. Proximity to Ubud centre: This was one of our concerns when booking but it wasn't went we left. Our driver dropped us into Ubud when we needed and getting a taxi back was always easy and only cost $5. escaping to the quiet villa after all the traffic in town was lovely. Little tip: get Wayan to organise yoga classes for you. We had a teacher come to the villa twice and it was fabulous!! All in all, this was a great place to stay and I wouldnt hesitate booking again.
