The Joglo at Umah Sunset is one of the most pristine accommodations you will find in the tropical setting of Ubud. This is a 2-bedroom private villa with an outdoor swimming pool and a view of natural landscapes of expansive rice fields. Very close to some famous tourist spots, it makes for the perfect place to reside on your vacation in Bali. The wooden interiors retain the classic charm of the village but don’t worry about your comfort as it is serviced with all the modern amenities. This picturesque holiday home is perfect for a small group of 4.
There are two bedrooms both with double beds. The rooms are on the upper level of the home. There are two washrooms in the home. The rooms are spacious and artistically decorated with paintings and antique pieces on their walls. Fresh sheets and linen are provided with cushions on the comfortable beds. There is a large bathtub in one of the bathrooms so you can take a warm bath and relax. The rooms are attached to the upper-level terrace so you wake up to the beautiful views of the natural landscape of mountains and fields that surrounds the home.

This villa in Ubud has such a convenient location being in midst of stunning surroundings. Tall trees, green fields and mountains in distance, you can make the most of the outdoors by relaxing on the outdoor porch. Take a walk in the nicely paved gardens every morning. You can go for a dip in the swimming pool that looks over the lush green rice fields. There are 4 lounge chairs with umbrellas on each side of the pool. There is also a separate deck by the poolside where you can sit and admire the beauty some more. The verandah of the home has a comfortable seating arrangement to lounge about. On the upper level is a small terrace which also has a small sofa to sit by and feel the evening breeze.
The home's interior is so intricately designed with cornerpieces and artefacts. The whole wooden structure maintains the uniformity of the home. The Buddha statue right at the entrance makes one feel calm. The home is dotted with paintings, decorative lamps, vases and potted plants. You will find the best of local art also displayed here. The living area has decorative tiles and a large wooden sofa in front of the TV. There is also an indoor dining area in the fully equipped kitchen of the home. The kitchen has a toaster, microwave, refrigerator, and necessary kitchenware.
The holiday home has all the modern amenities for a comfortable stay. We have a trained concierge staff to take care of your service needs. Guests can enjoy an à la carte breakfast. We also have a shuttle service to Ubud city center and car hire services available. Request for children’s high chair if you are travelling with kids.
The Joglo at Umah Sunset has a nice location easier to explore nearby tourist spots. The Saraswati Temple is 6.2 km and the Ubud Palace is about 6.4 km away from the home. If you like history and art, you must visit the Neka Art Museum and Blanco Museum both within 5 kms from the home. The famous Bali Shell Museum is 7 km from the home. If you want to eat out, the nearest restaurant is within 100 m of the home. If you want to visit the oceanside, you will have to drive about 35 km to reach Nusa Ceningan. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport at 33 kms.
10/10Great location to explore Bali, Ubud is close and the villa is fantastic. The view is beautiful and the Balinese nature is all around. We had a lovely breakfast every morning, and the staff is super friendly and genuine. Met the owner of the villa, he helped us get transport and offered options to explore the island. Recommend to stay here!

10/10I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a very authentic stay and incredible view of the rice terraces. We stayed with two little kids and they helped us with the transport from the airport to the villa and from there to the next one. The staff is very friendly and also prepared breakfast for us. 10/10Just back from one dreamy week at Ngakan’s beautiful home. Our stay was peaceful and enjoyable in this special property. Great breakfast each morning, friendly welcoming staff, comfy beds, and vast uninterrupted views of the surrounding rice fields and jungle. With easy access to downtown ubud, temples, waterfalls and other great activities I would highly recommend this home to friends, family. Thank you Ngakan for your hospitality and we hope to see you again soon.
10/10The villa is more beautiful than the photos with lots of detail and craftsmanship in the carpentry. Plenty of comfortable areas to lounge and relax. Bathrooms with that you typically only see in luxury hotels. Incredibly comfortable king size beds that are hotel-quality and quality AC for the bedrooms. Staff clean and make your bed everyday. What made this place standout was the hospitality. Home cooked breakfast every morning with fresh fruit. Rides into ubud center and other tourist attractions. We received discounts to rafting and ATV through Ngakan. He even gave us a tour of a nearby art museum.
