Stay in the green heart of Bali away from the beaches, surfers, and nightlife for a relaxing holiday. Charles is a romantic forest villa for a couple that wants to spend a few days enjoying lush nature and cherishing each other’s company. This rental property stands at the center of a living forest where there is a rich population of birds and monkeys. Wake up to the call of the native birds. See the monkeys jumping from one branch to the other. Go to sleep in the night with complete silence all around. Life can indeed be so relaxing and stress-free. Villa Charles is only 3 kilometers from the heart of Ubud. It has a forest location but this rental property is still close to key tourist attractions. The famous Goa Gajah Elephant Cave is an easy walk away. You will also find an art museum for puppets and masks nearby.

Villa Charles is a small villa that has only one bedroom. It has a queen bed for a couple and additionally a single bed. Thus, it can be the perfect property for a loving couple that wants a secluded holiday within the greenery. You don’t want anyone around when you are looking for a romantic escape. It can also host a small family with a child who will be sleeping in a single bed and sharing the room with her parents.
Everything is white in the bedroom, from the bed to the wall color, and the armchairs. There is a satellite television and a wardrobe. A glass sliding door opens to the pool terrace. The bathroom is also fabulous. It has a modern sink and a shower. Indoor plants bring the surrounding nature into this space.
Villa Charles is on a 200-square-meter plot with the interior having 100 square meters. Just outside the bedroom, you will find a shaded terrace with a sitting area and a bamboo swing. Beyond this is the swimming pool that hangs at the edge of a cliff. The lush forest surrounds you completely. You will see many coconut palms, banana trees, and others. There is even a small garden on one side of the pool.
Inside the house, you will find the perfect mix of traditional Balinese and modern furnishings. The space has clear signs of thoughtful attention to detail. The décor and planning achieve the rare feat of balancing nature and comfort very well. There is no formal living room as such in this rental villa. The lounging area is located under the shaded terrace just outside the bedroom. This space also has a small dining table for two guests. There is also a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, hob, toaster, and other appliances.
Villa Charles is a self-sufficient holiday home in Ubud. The bedroom is air-conditioned. You can lock the bedroom door when you are exploring Ubud. Wine glasses and cooking supplies are provided in the kitchen. You will find towels and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Feel free to use the swimming pool and everything else you find in this rental villa. There is an open-air parking space as well.
There is a lot to see around this house. You will find a traditional Balinese village only 3 kilometers away. The Goa Gajah Elephant Cave, which is one of the main attractions in Ubud, is also very close. From majestic royal palaces to ancient temples and the monkey forest – you can reach everywhere easily. You can also visit the scenic Bandung Waterfall. The closest shop is 2.5 kilometers away and the closest restaurant is at a distance of 3 kilometers.
9.8/10I loved this Villa. I was so quiet and away from the tourist areas. It was spotlessly clean and the private pool and outdoor area was absolutely beautiful. I had such a lovely stay in Villa Charles. I can’t fault it.
10/10Villa Charles delivered! We stayed 3 nights and loved every moment spent inside the villa. It was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, catering to our needs when requested. We can't thank the staff enough for all they had provided us during our stay. We will be back!
10/10From the moment we arrived at Villa Charles we were so pleased with the space! It was open, and light and surrounded by beautiful greenery and a lovely view. The Villa Manager Agus was so friendly and helpful during our stay, and organised anything we wanted or needed at short notice. All the restaurant recommendations from the Villa book and Agus, were fantastic! The floating breakfast our first morning was beautiful, highly recommend this. We loved our stay and all our experiences during it! Thank you so much.
9.4/10The location of the villa is beautiful and always felt safe and gave us the serenity we were looking for on this holiday. sitting in the pool looking out to the jungle was amazing. The Manager was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions and requests. Location is ideal in Ubud as we felt we had privacy but close enough to walk into the centre of Ubud. At night we cooked our own meal in the villa as loved staying in and recommend the cooked breakfast in our villa.
10/10Villa was very pretty just like the pictures, staff was amazing, specially manager of the villa (Agus) was very responsive, helpful and friendly. They arranged in-house breakfast which was really delicious. Loved our stay there :)
10/10Excellent find near Ubud. Thank you so much. Fajar, Gus and Era. The team were super responsive, and proactive in making sure we were comfortable at all times. The airport pick up was seamless. As was the bike rental and the freshly cooked breakfast. It’s about a 10 min bike ride into Ubud, which makes it perfect if you’re looking to be slight further from the touristy areas, but close enough to get there quickly. All-in-all, a great find!
10/10My partner and I were blown away from the moment we walked in. So peaceful and quiet and such wonderful hosts. We had an amazing time and wish we had booked for longer. It was our first time in Bali and the hosts made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Communication was so fast and so helpful! Cannot wait to come back again.
10/10Amazing place I really loved it! Beautiful and clean place. Everything was clear and taken hand of. I rented a scooter for a few days so it was easy to get around. Aldo ordered the floating breakfast. Amazing pool.
10/10We have stayed here 4 days and everything was great. So private garden and pool with a jungle view was very special. The manager Agus helped us a lot and arranged in house massage and scooter rental from our door in a fast and great way. Thanks so much to Agus and all the team.
10/10Really nice place. A little outside of the centre so it’s more quiet. Perfect for relaxing at the private pool. But the centre is not too far either, only like a 10 minute drive:)
