Villa Atas Awan is tucked away in a beautiful tranquil area surrounded by authentic Indonesian country life with green rice paddies and distant volcanoes and it's just a 20 minute drive to the cultural center of Ubud. Lovers of traditional architecture and beautiful untouched nature will instantly fall in love with this villa boasting two wooden houses surrounded by a gigantic green tropical garden.
This villa is ideal for big families looking for a serene private getaway with modern comforts and it's also perfect for special events such as yoga retreats.
The master bedrooms are situated on the top floors and they are absolutely stunning boasting beautiful surrounding landscapes and views through the glass sliding windows and doors. The rooms are bright, spacious, airy and classy with high thatched roof, hand-painted and carved wooden furniture and flat-screen televisions so you can watch a movie from the rattan seating area or the comfortable king-size bed with curtains.
The en-suite bathrooms are luxurious with large terrazzo bathtubs with view over the countryside and separate relaxing rain-showers. The rooms also feature private terraces where you can sit and watch Bali's stunning sunrise while listening to the singing of birds.
The second floors of the wooden houses host a total of 5 guest bedrooms adjoined to the terrace with several lounge area's including a hammock, perfect for reading a book or a little day-time nap. The rooms have wooden interior designs and stunning views from the glass windows. Two of the bedrooms feature twin beds and the other rooms have queen-size beds, all of them with mosquito nets. The en-suite bathrooms are set out with luxurious rain-showers and all the rooms have access to a relaxing terrazzo bathtub with view on the garden.

Upon entering Villa Atas Awan you will find yourself in it's expansive private garden surrounded by trees, plants and lots of green grass to run around in. There are beautiful fish-ponds with fountains, stone-carved statues and a stunning infinity swimming pool separating the two wooden houses from each other. The garden offers shade and sun along with lots of lounge area's featuring sunbeds and daybeds.
The wooden houses both feature spacious, bright living area's completely open to the beautiful garden and decorated with beautiful antique wooden, bamboo or rattan furniture along with traditional art-pieces. The spaces are adjoined to the swimming pool and connected to each other by a wooden bridge. There are lots of seating and lounge area's to choose from, providing you with privacy and comfort and there are thick wooden dining tables carved out of native wood allowing large groups to enjoy delicious meal together.
Both houses feature spacious open kitchens equipped with modern facilities and there are guest bathrooms set out terrazzo floors, rain-showers, natural stone washbasins and toilets.
Villa Atas Awan has a staff of friendly people taking good care of you during your stay with personal assistance, daily housekeeping and 24 hour security. The Villa Finder Concierge team is also ready to assist you. You can take the outdoor activities such as rafting, cycling tours or daytrips, or anything else to be arranged just for you.
Villa Atas Awan is surrounded by the tranquil and serene Indonesian country life. The only sounds you will hear are those of nature and the artistic center of Ubud with many art galleries and spiritual hangouts is just a 20 minute drive away through traditional villages and green rice paddies.
9.6/10We were a group of 11 friends stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed the space available, amazed the timber structural of the villa and the nice cool swimming pool. The friendly staffs are very helpful and accommodating. Daily free transport to Ubud.
8.8/10I love the location with views of greenery and paddy fields, and the tranquility in this area. At night, we can hear sounds of nature with the various insects. We even had ‘visitors’ coming to our Villa, including the beetle, and frogs. A great place for a big family or a group of friends travelling together. Great spaces to chit chat, chill, and drink. A short 40 min drive to the Ubud Centre, and we had our sumptuous dinner at Lotus Cafe, with the Rijsttafel, Roasted Duck and Gado Gado. This is a historic cafe since 1983, and we love the lotus pond, right beside the restaurant. My two friends went to have a full body massage and deep tissue massage at Karti Bali Spa. And they found it pretty good. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. I will definitely highly recommend those who are visiting Bali to come and stay here at Villa Atas Awan.
10/10Villa Atas Awan was beyond magic. The surroundings are an absolute dream, see amongst jungle and nature. The pool is just gorgeous. All the rooms were truly beautiful. But nothing beats the staff. The food prepared by Sri was amazing. You could taste the love she put into it. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they met our every need. Thanks crew. A trip that can never be replicated!
9.8/10Our stay at atas awan was amazing. The staff were brilliant. All of the rooms were beautiful and the gardens stunning. We loved the place, it was very relaxing and the drives to Ubud and batur very pretty. The food was extremely tasty and breakfast always a feast. We had a wedding there and would highly recommend red lotus catering and the traditional entertainment. Our entire stay was beyond our expectations. It was very disappointing to leave at the end of our stay. Thank you for having us.
10/10We loved every day at Villa Atas Awan, we will definitely be back. We enjoyed the shuttle into town. We were happy they helped us to create a vegetarian menu for us and they were also happy to change a few of the ingredients to make some vegan meals. The space is incredible and surrounded by nature and villages.

Villa Atas Awan is an amazing place, a truly Balinese experience, immerse in the nature, with great architecture and wooden furniture! There is lots of space, many spacious rooms, with ample areas for relax, in group or independently. The pool is amazing, for refreshing or also real swim. Staff there is fantastic, Abong and the rest of the team are amazing, helpful, friendly and always available, they helped us with life at the villa as also with organizing activities and transfers during the day. Music, wifi, laundry all available. We celebrated a wedding anniversary here with balinese atmosphere, dresses and music, great fun and emotions! Definitely a place to go!
10/10It has only been 2 days and I already miss Abong at Villa Atas Awan soo much!! The staff were all sooo happy and helpful and went out of their way to do anything for you. We travelled in a group of 15 and there was ample amounts of space! We had a wedding there and everything was organised to perfection and the staff helped make it a truly memorable day. We ate in the villa every breakfast and dinner and some lunches and we were never disappointed. I highly recommend trying the burgers and Mie Goreng - yum!!! The rooms and bathrooms were huge, clean and well maintained with 2 services per day. The staff made sure there was plenty of water and towels. It is about a 30 minute drive from Ubud but the scenery on the drive is fantastic and if peace and quiet is what you are after Villa Atas Awan is definitely for you!! I hope to come back as soon as possible!!
9.6/10We are having great time here in Ubud at Villa Atas Awan! Abong is very kind, staff is great and the place is amazing, lots of traffic to move around, but very relaxing. Looking forward to more of those villa-Bali!
10/10The setting of Atas Awan is magnificent and waking up to views of mountains and rice fields was a great way to start the day for our family. We found Atas Awan's location suited us well. It was close enough to get in to Ubud easily (20 to 30 minutes) for the culture, shopping, massages and the occasional meal and far enough away from the tourist bustle to be able to totally relax. The service was excellent in every aspect. The concierge Abong and his team of cooks, cleaners and drivers were efficient, friendly and obliging and we enjoyed some great in-house feasts and no request was too much for them. Would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a classy Bali experience.
9.6/10We stayed at the villa for 5 days in a group of 14 adults plus 4 kids. We have a great time, the villa is awesome with a beautiful mountain view from my bedroom (3rd floor). Mr Abong. Tri & Wayan have been a very good helper & cook as well..:). We have nothing to complaint. Love every inch of the villa. In fact it become our dream house..:D.. The Villa, the surrounding & people is everything that we need for a vacation.Thanks so much for the hospitality..
