Candidasa is a peaceful coastal destination that continues to benefit from ongoing infrastructure improvements. We'd like to informed you that there is currently a government beach enhancement project taking place approximately 50 metres from the Villa to create a new beachfront pathway.
Depending on the stage of the works, there may be occasional daytime construction noise and the schedule and level of activity may vary. The master bedroom at Villa Gils is located on the top floor of the main living pavilion, featuring a spacious air-conditioned suite with a four poster, king-size bed in its center.
Next to the master suite is a second family-designed bedroom, complete with two twin beds which can be configured into a king-size bed as well. These side-by-side rooms are especially ideal for any parents travelling with young kids or infants, as extra baby cots can be provided at no additional cost. Also on the upper level of the villa is a covered terrace for easy lounging and taking in the views of the ocean just a few dozen meters away. Use this open-air balcony to relax on the day bed or indulge in a private massage by your very own spa therapist.
The additional two guest rooms at Villa Gils are located on the ground floor in a thatched-roof pavilion with private verandas looking out to the swimming pool. Each of these bedrooms are air conditioned and offer flexible bed configurations, from plush kings to individual singles when needed. En-suite bathrooms are also attached to both poolside bedrooms, boasting outdoor showers and indoor sinks and WCs.

Just in front of the main building is a set of six sun chairs and the 25 meter swimming pool, designed with a small wading area for the kids which is separated from the deep section by a floating stone foot path. An alfresco dining balé resides next to the pool, yet another spot to join together for morning meals, sunset beverages and evening feasts. There is also an Alang-Alang gazebo with cushioned seating for when you want to hang out and dry off from the pool.
Next to the ground floor guest rooms is the breezy, open-concept living and dining area. In the middle stands a six person cocktail bar and chic kitchen space for creating specialized cocktails and dishes. Gather here or at the cozy sofa lounge just steps away where you can watch a DVD, read a book or play a board game all together. No matter what you choose, you never have to choose between indoor or outdoor living with a living room that looks out to a lush green garden and lap pool.
Villa Gils is lovingly staffed with five full time professionals, led by the exceptional manager Wayan who is a bank of local knowledge, tips and contacts. Whatever you desire for your trip to Candidasa and Bali as a whole, the team at Villa Gils will ensure your wishes are met. Snorkelling out at Mendira Beach? No problem. Dinner reservations at the nearest beachfront restaurant? Done! 10/10We had an absolutely wonderful stay at villa gils. The villa was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed, for a comfortable stay. The hospitality from villa staff was phenomenal. They looked after us with so much care and professionalism. This was by far the most outstanding experience.

9.6/10What an amazing place. Absolutely superb in all aspects… Vila Gils is immaculately clean, comfortable and great value. The staff were amazing, highly professional and couldn’t do enough to help. They were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. The pool is huge, a decent depth (1.7m at the deeper end) and a perfect temperature. The rooms and bathrooms were fantastic, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the four bedrooms have aircon, had a luxurious feel, including the beds which were very comfortable. Breakfasts are included and are of a really high standard. There’s a choice including nasi goreng, omelette or a variety of bacon and eggs in addition to fresh fruit, toast, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Lunch and evening meals are also available, which we had a couple of times, and were also of a very high standard and great value. There are plenty of warungs within easy walking distance which were amazing too. Warung Padang Kecag and Warung B’Tok were stand outs, although Warung Bintang was exceptional value and quality - but was a short drive away in Candidasa. We’re a family of five including two teenagers. We all loved our time at Vila Gil’s and could not fault any aspect of it and will certainly return. Wayan and her team helped with offering advice and organising some transport and excursions for us which was a great help. Overall, a superb villa set in beautiful private gardens and staffed by an amazing team.
10/10We had a fantastic time at Villa Gils. The villa's design is quite unique with a lot of open space that gives a sense of true emersion in nature. Well equipped and kept in great condition, very clean. The on-site team led by Wayan was fantastic. Great cooking, service, tips, help & support during our stay. Kids loved the large pool, which was at a very comfortable temperature during our stay. The downward sloping design worked very well for us to feel safe letting our 6 year old son play in it with very limited supervision. Highly recommended.
9/10The villa is spectacular, beautiful and very well located in terms of the many good cafes nearby. What definitely needs to change: guests are offered their own kitchen, and there is not a single piece of cutlery or plate in the kitchen! If you need any of it, you have to go to the kitchen staff and ask for it to be given to you. At the same time, as soon as you have eaten, the staff comes, washes it all and takes it back to their kitchen! It is simply impossible to eat properly! The bathroom on the second floor is almost completely without a roof, sootvetstvenno in the rain it is impossible to wash there.

9.2/10The villa is located in a quiet part of the island, still devoid of tourists. The team takes care of us every day, from breakfast to dinner (served until very late). The team helped us plan and book our entire stay (we appreciated the lunch boxes when we left at 02:00 am for an excursion). The staff are very friendly and helpful.

10/10Our experience at Villa Gils was top notch from start to finish. Our host /staff team leader Wayan introduced us to the property and made us feel right at home from the get-go. We were staying at the villa with 3 generations; my elderly parents (70s), me and my wife (50s) and our daughter and her boyfriend (20s). The villa was well-appointed and clean. The swimming pool did not disappoint and the garden and outdoor living spaces were absolutely wonderful. Also, the food that was served from the available menu was amazing. Fresh, tasty and of good quality. We liked it so much that we were tempted to spend our entire stay in the compound but ultimately decided to go on some small trips after all. Besides the villa and all of its amenities, what made our stay especially great was the interaction with the supporting staff in the villa. Wayan (and the rest of her team) made us feel like family and saying goodbye after 4 nights was hard. We would gladly return to this villa in the future. Also, the support we received from the Villa Finder team was great. Although we did not need them, the fact that they checked up on us often to see if everything was alright was really appreciated!
