Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Villa Bakung is a seafront vacation complex which consists of three pavilions typifying contemporary rustic elegance. With a consistent white and blue color scheme and a wood lattice design accent, interiors are appointed with predominantly exquisitely crafted, complementary, weathered and woven wood furnishings and fixtures. Amenities are discriminately five star – for each and every guest’s all-out delight and enjoyment. Villa Bakung, truly, opens up for you coastal vacation living with a dreamy and serene mood.
In the villa’s two-storey pavilion are four air-conditioned bedrooms – all with canopied and draped, king-sized beds, as well as dedicated, semi-open bathrooms with free-standing bathtubs and rain showers. Bedrooms on the second floor open out to a semi-wraparound balcony with breathtaking sea views. Bedrooms on the ground floor have direct access to the infinity pool.
Perpendicular to the villa’s private beach is the 17-meter infinity pool. Dip into its alluring, glassy waters and wade to the pool’s edge where you’ll certainly linger – entranced – as you gaze out to sea. For some sun, you can laze on cushioned, woven wood pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas on the stone deck along two sides of the pool. The villa’s private beach is also perfect for beach bonfires especially on breezy evenings.
At the villa’s semi-open, spacious, airy and high-ceilinged common pavilion is the living area with three sitting layouts. Here, you can all converge for moments of family or friendly bonding. There are two dining areas. The indoor dining area – with its carved, timber wood table that seats eight – is behind one of the sitting layouts. The alfresco dining area – with its bright, timber wood table that seats 10 – is at the villa’s beach-view dining pavilion. Whichever you choose to dine at, you can all have your fill of authentic Balinese cuisine – as well as your most requested comfort food – concocted by the onsite chef at the fully-equipped, modern kitchen between the living area’s sitting layouts.
Assigned to attend to the daily services of the villa is a staff made up of a personal guest assistant, a pool attendant, a gardener, as well as housekeepers and security personnel. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may be called in upon your request. Their services, however, come with a separate charge. Bike, scooter, car and boat rentals are also available.
Villa Bakung is situated in Candidasa. Aboard traditional jukung – or a colorful outrigger – sail off to Jemeluk Bay where, at some point, you can get into the water for close encounters with schools of tropical fish, bales of sea turtles, reef tip sharks and manta rays. Deeper, you’ll be amazed by the sight of coral gardens, as well as of a sunken World War II Japanese ship. Continue your aquatic adventures on your next day tour at the Candidasa Lotus Lagoon, the Taman Ujung Water Palace and the Tirta Gangga Water Gardens. On a separate day trip, schedule stops at the Goa Lawah and the Lempuyang Temples, the Keta Gosa Hall Of Justice and Tenganan Pegringsingan – an ancient Balinese village.
The villa is exactly as photographed and did not disappoint. We arrived to a fantastic dinner that was lovely. The staff were incredible - they were of a similar age to my brother and took him to play football with them - which he thoroughly enjoyed. We celebrated two birthdays out there and they provided a cake for both and booked dinner elsewhere when we wanted. Couldn't recommend this villa enough - it really is beautiful and the staff themselves make it even more worthwhile. The internet for this villa was not very fast though, and in the far top bedroom, the connection is not strong but this should not at all put you off.
The team at villa Bakung we're excellent. Facilities we're first class. Location wise, we enjoyed being away from the hustle of Kuta , which is about 1.5 hours drive. Overall , great food , great staff and a superb villa. We would happily return.
i recently stayed at this beautiful villa with friends for a few days and could not have been happier... it's slightly off the tourist path which we wanted and everything about this private villa reflected the beauty, serenity and soulfulness of bali... from the amazing ocean views, to the open air layout which allowed for privacy and communal spaces at the same time... to the gorgeous bali decour and gracious staff and service.. i'm not sure i've ever felt so relaxed... the food was also wonderful with fresh local ingredients and exotic fruits.. or you could take a short drive to some great local restaurants.. a great stay for anyone looking to experience the culture and beauty bali has to offer.
We had a wonderful stay, it was exactly was we expected. The staff was very effective and very professional. We would recommend this villa with 2 words: peace & pleasure. These two words sum up quite well our experience
We all loved the Villa, its location right on the oceanfront, beautiful long pool and the large and very comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, generous living space, sun lounges, great bed linen & towels. The staff were delightful and attended to our every need. All 5 star
