Villa Taman Sorga

The villa has six bedrooms. Two master bedrooms are in the two-level main villa. The master bedroom on the second level opens out to a long balcony with an antique daybed, period furniture and a hammock, while the master bedroom on the ground level has direct access to a fully-furnished covered terrace, to the swimming pool and to the garden. Both master bedrooms have antique, regal, canopied beds as well as dedicated bathrooms. The master bathroom on the second level, however, has its very own jacuzzi. Four other bedrooms are in the two-level guest pavilion. Two master bedrooms are on the ground level with direct access to the garden. Both bedrooms have king-sized beds and dedicated bathrooms with jacuzzis and hydro-massage showers. Two more guest bedrooms are on the second level. Both bedrooms open out to a long balcony overlooking the garden and the swimming pool. These bedrooms also have twin beds and dedicated bathrooms with hydro-massage showers and bathtubs.

The focal point of the property’s extensive and idyllic grounds of well-kept lawn, ponds and trees is the 17-meter swimming pool. With a small, oriental-style bridge arched over its center, the swimming pool looks more like a lagoon. Give in to its beckoning, glassy waters for some aimless wading. Or, pull everyone in for some splashy fun and games. Up from the water, you can laze on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by a large umbrella, leisurely lounge on large rattan couches or long wooden benches with striped cushions and pillows – all at the villa’s pool house, or sip cool, fruity drinks by round wooden tables shaded by large, built-in umbrellas or tropical trees.

All around the villa are about two living areas. The main living area is housed at the villa’s grand and spacious wantilan – or traditional meeting hall. On its hefty and long couches under a high, two-tiered ceiling, you can all converge for family or friendly bonding. An alternative living area where you can also assemble for lively conversation is on the main villa’s ground level. The villa also has about two dining areas both housed at a detached dining pavilion. This pavilion has a function room – with a wooden, antique dining table that can seat eight – for more formal dining, as well as an airy, semi-open section with a round, wooden, rustic table for about five, and a low, wooden, Asian-style dinner table good for six. At any of these dining areas, you can all feast on authentic Balinese cuisine – as well as Western staples – meticulously put together by the onsite chef at the fully-equipped, ultra-modern kitchen in a separate unit behind the dining pavilion. On the ground level of the guest pavilion is the villa’s media studio. Here, you can all gather around its large couches in time to catch your favorite show, or to relive the most unforgettable scenes of your all-time favorite classic movie – all on the home theater system. In a stately, semi-circular structure at the edge of the property is the villa’s gym that’s provided with cardio machines and core strengthening equipment – so you can do your basic exercise program even while you’re on vacation.

Assigned to attend to the daily services at the villa is a staff headed by a supervisor backed by butlers, gardeners and security personnel. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may, upon your request, be called in. However, their services will be charged separately. A car is also available for rent.
