The dry season, April to October, has the most sunshine, especially June to August, and covers Easter and the summer holidays. The wet season, November to March, brings tropical showers and green landscapes, and many Hong Kong travellers still visit at Christmas and Chinese New Year.
Direct flights take about five hours and land at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). HKSAR passport holders can visit Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, and this visa-free stay cannot be extended. If you travel on another passport, check its entry requirements before flying.
Visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months, complete the mandatory All Indonesia arrival declaration within three days before arrival, and pay Bali's tourism levy of IDR 150,000 per person, subject to applicable exemptions. We can arrange an airport driver, with child seats if needed.
Bali is generally safe, and families visit every year. Keep an eye on valuables in busy areas and swim only where it's safe, as some beaches have strong currents. Check the Hong Kong Security Bureau's Outbound Travel Alert before you go. Our concierge can arrange trusted drivers, licensed guides and babysitters.
Ask your doctor or a travel health clinic about vaccinations, and buy travel insurance. Drink bottled or properly filtered water and take care when choosing street food. Travelling with children? We can stock the villa with snacks and connect you with English-speaking doctors.
Bali has no metro, and traffic can be slow, especially in the south. Scooters are common but not suited to families. A private car with a driver is one of the easiest choices and usually good value. We can book one for a single day or your whole stay.
Nusa Dua has calm water and wide beaches. Sanur is quiet, with shallow water for toddlers. Ubud is ideal for culture and nature, though pushchairs can be tricky. Seminyak and Canggu have great restaurants, but their beaches suit older children or strong swimmers. Tell us your children's ages and we'll suggest villas.
Popular choices include the Ubud Monkey Forest, Waterbom Bali in Kuta, snorkelling or a glass-bottom boat at Nusa Lembongan, a Balinese dance show and the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. For a slower day, a cooking class or rice-field walk works well for all ages.
For families and groups, a private villa in Bali often makes more sense: several bedrooms, a private pool and living areas where everyone can be together. Many villas include daily housekeeping and staff on site. Some include breakfast, and many can provide a chef for other meals.
Yes. Babysitters and private chefs are two of our most-booked extras, and families often combine them for an easy evening. We also arrange in-villa spa treatments, yoga, birthday decorations and floating breakfasts. Just tell our concierge what you have in mind.
It depends on your group. Families with young children usually look for a fenced pool, baby equipment and a single-level layout. Multi-generation trips often need en-suite bedrooms, and sometimes a room for a helper. Groups of friends may prefer a large dining area and shared space. Share your group size and wish list, and we'll shortlist villas we've inspected.
Our team is available 7 days a week to help, whether it's the Wi-Fi, the pool or a change of plans. As Bali is on Hong Kong time, you can reach us during your usual day.
Prices are shown in Hong Kong dollars (HKD) and depend on the villa's size, location and season. A three-bedroom villa with a private pool can sometimes cost less than three hotel rooms. Stays of up to a month are welcome, depending on availability.
We focus on holiday stays rather than long-term leases. Terms for deposits, payments and cancellations differ for each villa, and we're happy to discuss them when you enquire.
Yes. We can arrange a cot, high chair and pool fence on request, subject to availability, along with experienced babysitters. We'll book cars with child seats and suggest calm beaches and family-friendly restaurants. A five-hour direct flight also keeps the journey manageable for little ones.
Bali uses two-pin Type C and F sockets, so you'll need an adapter for three-pin plugs, or we can leave one in your villa. Our villas have Wi-Fi. Local SIM cards and eSIMs are affordable, or check your mobile plan's roaming options.
Common mistakes include not checking the date of Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence, when the airport closes; booking activities too far apart and underestimating traffic; travelling without insurance; and picking a villa without checking it suits children. Our team can help you plan around all of these from the start.
