Situated in one of Ubud's many traditional villages, Villa Candi Kecil Empat is the larger one of the two Candi Kecil private pool holiday retreats. Villa Candi Kecil Empat enjoys the best of both worlds; located just off of the main tourist grid of Ubud, but is still only an 8-minute drive to the iconic Goa Gajah Temple and just 20 minutes to the town center. Boasting a huge sprawling garden with a grassy lawn and glistening pool, and a spacious living and dining area, this villa is a great value for the price in the heart of Bali's cultural hub.
Villa Candi Kecil is located in a typical Balinese village called Pejeng, making it the perfect location if you want to experience the real Bali life. Please note that ceremonies and local celebrations take place next to the villa and that there might be noise disturbance from this. However, we encourage you to watch and enjoy the local traditions!
The master bedroom is accessible from both the living room and the garden. Great for guests who like to soak up the morning sun, sipping their coffee outside on the garden's stone sun deck before going for an early morning swim. This spacious bedroom is elegantly furnished with a four-poster bed, a sofa to curl up with a good book and a satellite TV mounted to the wall. There is a walk-in dressing room and an open-air garden-like en-suite bathroom fitted with a bathtub and an outdoor rain-shower.
The three compact and cozy guest bedrooms are located in a standalone structure across the pool from the main living pavilion. All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, queen-size four-poster beds adorned in white linens and mosquito netting, wardrobe closets and private en-suite bathrooms. The middle room can be converted into a pair of twin beds if needed, plus it has a connecting door to the last suite which is especially ideal for families with kids. Every en-suite bathroom is nestled in an open-air garden setting. One of them also features a bathtub to relax in at the end of the day.

The outdoor area of Villa Candi Kecil Empat is very spacious, sunny and tropical. Encompassed by a stone patio sparkles a 12-meter private swimming pool with a shallow inlet for getting in and out of the water (also makes a great spot for kids to safely splash around under supervision of parents). Next to the pool, there are comfy reclining sun chairs with umbrellas, along with a circular outdoor dining table so you can enjoy all of your meals alfresco style if you wish. In the corner of the lush garden is a thatched-roof balé, another good spot to retreat to when in need of some privacy or peace and quiet.
Sitting on 1400 square meters of tropical land, this villa is in no shortage of indoor or outdoor hang-out spaces! A thatched-roof gate opens up to natural stone pathway fringed by tropical greenery, leading straight towards the spacious combined living and dining pavilion of this 4-bedroom villa. You are welcomed in a light-filled living space that beckons groups to join together for communal meals and lounge time. Situated under the high vaulted ceiling are three comfy rattan sofas which form an L-shape around the floor seating space, styled tastefully with sitting pillows and a natural bamboo mat. Chill out here, read a book, watch a movie on the TV, whatever! Behind the sofa lounge stands a colourful, 12-seater dining table, constructed with the reclaimed wood from Balinese fishing boats. Upstairs, two massage beds are available.

One of the best things about this villa is its location, nestled in nature, away from all the hustle and bustle of central Ubud, yet close enough to drive down there in around 20 minutes. Watch the rolling rice terraces, visit the Monkey Forest, practice yoga at the Yoga Barn, enjoy a healthy meal at one of the raw food restaurants and go rafting on the Ayung River. your holiday can't go wrong!
9.8/10The villa is beautiful, spacious and clean. We had great time there and enjoyed twice body massage in the villa as well as sumptuous BBQ seafood dinner and Balinese Popular Dinner all prepared by Private Chef Nyoman. Be prepared to have a few lizards and geckos in the villa. But there is expected as the villa is located in the nature next to the padi field. Thanks to Ayu and Putu who prepared delicious lunch upon check in and also breakfast for us. Special kudos to the whole customer service team from Villa Finder ! They have been very efficient and accommodating and replied all emails promptly. Everything was arranged smoothly, from booking of villa, amendment to upgrade the villa, transportation, booking of chef, spa and even impromptu body massage in villa were all done seamlessly.

10/10We stayed at Villa Candi Cecil just outside of Ubud. Ubud is lovely but the crowds are a lot so the chance to retreat to tranquility in your very own Villa away from the hustle and bustle was a plus. The living areas are huge and we loved eating together as an extended family at night with the wonderful Ayu’s food was fantastic. It was easy to get into town and after shopping and tours you can retreat to the pools and air conditioned rooms. The best was every night there were these amazing pigeons with whistles that flew over the village. Some of us even popped down the road to have some Babu Guling (suckling pig) organised by our friendly neighbour driver Dewa who is happy to run you anywhere you want to go. Just a brilliant ‘real’ Bali experience.

10/10It was a fantastic 7 days in this villa. We loved the food, massage, pool, and services a lot. The staffs were really kind and helpful. We liked all the food served and the tours. 10/10Our villa was very spacious and comfortable for a large family with mostly teenagers. The two villas were very tidy and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The staffs at the villa were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

The villa is tranquil and lovely, and quiet away from the hustle + bustle of central Ubud; but because it is so distant, transportation should be included and on hand for any quick trip into town. 9.8/10The villa in general was breathtaking, by far the best place we have never stayed in our lives. It was so good that we supposed to be 2 nights and we extend our stay for 2 more nights changing all our plans in Indonesia. Service was the best we could get at all time, we had the luxury of asking for whatever we want at any time. The cook was amazing and very friendly as well as the security. Besides we had an overwhelming pool, billiard, massage service, etc. Unbelievable, I would stay forever.
