Bali re-opens! Villa Griya Atma has been waiting for you, for 18 months. Villa Griya Atma has not stood still. During this time, we have worked on the villa maintenance, repaired the small things that needed to be repaired and obtained health and hygiene certifications from the Province of Bali. The team remained the same and won great reviews before the pandemic. Villa Griya Atma has fully vaccinated staff who are trained to the highest hygiene standards.
So, WELCOME, SELAMAT DATANG, to Griya Atma. You will be welcomed by kind and helpful staff, the team is Dewo, Ketut S, Made, Miranti, Nyoman, Putu, and Yuni. The owners are Juanita & Richard.
This peaceful 4 bedroom retreat surrounded by lush green rice paddies and an interior design with a perfect mixture of traditional and modern elements, is a lovely home to spend your holiday on the island of the Gods with your family or closest friends. Bigger groups have the option of renting this villa together with its sister Villa Griya Aditi.
The master suite has glass doors sliding open to a private veranda with rice field view. Inside the room, there is a king-size bed, a working desk, and a built-in daybed. The interior design is enriched by traditional arts and there is a large wardrobe closet. The en-suite bathroom boasts a bathtub to relax in after a long day exploring the center of Ubud and there is also an outdoor rain shower.
The are 3 other bedrooms featuring comfy queen-size beds, wooden wardrobe closets, working desks, and an amazing rice field view through the full-length glass windows and doors. One of these bedrooms features a lounge/study room, located on the first floor of the main pavilion. There is a sofa where you can watch a movie on the flat-screen TV and there is also a book library. All the rooms have private en-suite bathrooms with a rain shower.

The stunning infinity pool offers breathtaking views over the endless rice paddies surrounding the property. There has also been thought about the smallest children, as there is a separated shallow plunge pool too. There are loungers for sunbathing and when the tropical heat gets too much for you, you can read a book in the shade of the parasol or chill out in the traditional Bale (wooden pavilion), which is also the perfect place to watch Bali's magnificent sunsets or enjoy a massage. Afterward, you can enjoy your dinner in an alfresco setting in the beautiful, natural, quiet surroundings as the sky lights up with a multitude of stars.
The doors of the living area can be fully opened to the garden for exotic vibes, or you can choose to keep them closed and turn on the air-conditioning if you wish to cool down for a while. There is a comfy sofa to lounge on while watching your favorite movie or show on the flatscreen TV and a wooden dining table for cozy in-house dinners. Next to the lounge area, there is a media room with another large TV with DVD-player. Ideal for kids if they wish to separate themselves from their parents for some game time or to watch their own movies. The indoor area also features a fully equipped kitchen, which can be used by the guests if they wish so.

The staff consists of 9 people, who will be welcoming you with warm hospitality. The villa manager will be ready for you upon your arrival and will explain all the ins and outs of the villa. There also is daily housekeeping, an excellent cook, and night security. They can arrange a driver for you with additional cost, who has superb knowledge of the local surroundings, including spots which lie off the beaten track. With them doubling as a guide you can be sure that you will indeed get to see authentic Bali.
Villa Griya Atma is located in the serene and quiet village of Tengkulak Kelod Surrounded by infinite rice paddies and dusty roads leading to traditional villages where you can see and hear the mystic ceremonies of the Balinese people and where village life goes at a slow sleepy pace, and no one is ever in a rush, but ready with warm smiles and big hearts. You are also close to the cultural and spiritual center of Ubud. Remember to check out some of the organic health cafés in Ubud for raw chocolate and delicious smoothies.

Not too far from the center and agitation of Ubud, though far enough to have a restful time. Nature around makes your soul full of sooth. 10/10This villa is a great place to stay for a family. The amenities and facilities have been carefully thought through, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Outdoor showers are a unique and endearing feature of this villa. The views from the large pool area are absolutely breathtaking while the relaxing area by the pool is a great hanging out spot in the evening for the family. The villa staff is courteous, accommodating and helpful and made our overall stay very memorable
9.6/10We were there at Villa Griya Atma as a family of eight and loved our 4-day stay at the Villa. The 4-bedroom villa is large, beautiful and artfully done up. The bed rooms are spacious and well thought through, with a charming outdoor shower in 3 of the 4 rooms. The living area is a very comfortable space for good family time. Kitchen is well equipped for everything from a light evening snack to preparing a full fledged meal. The best part is probably the swimming pool and the semi-covered relaxing area by the pool. The villa is well staffed and Made and his team made our stay very comfortable and pleasant. They are available almost 24/7 and are happy to cater to any request you may have. Villa is located in a beautiful, quiet surrounding, 15-20 minute drive from the Ubud City Center. Public transport is not easily available, and it’s recommended to have your own private vehicle (scooty, car, mini-bus etc.).

9.8/10The villa was absolutely spectacular and the staff were outstanding, catering to our every need. They prepared the most amazing meals and arranged a yoga instructor to come to the villa. We visited an amazing restaurant - SEASONED - in Ubud. Highly recommend it. The villa has the most peaceful outlook and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting UBUD.
10/10Stunning Villa and Lovely Staffs I went here with my colleagues for our annual company trip. I highly recommend this villa for a small or bigger group. The designs are stunning and the staffs always keep it clean and homey. My highlights are when we swam in the afternoon before sunset while enjoying the paddy field scenery in front of us.. So relaxing! The villa also has an outdoor shower that is safe and nice, love it! I also want to give props to Pak Made and staffs that were super helpful and friendly. On one night we wanted to drink and unfortunately there's no ice cubes in the fridge, then the staffs bought us the ice in a bulk all the way to "warung" and crushed it into cubes so we can have drinks. The other day, they helped us calling a couple of masseurs to the villa after we did rafting and hiking. You can do the massage outdoors by the swimming pool or in your room, it's just as nice. I definitely want to go back if I have a chance with my partner or family. Matur suksma to Pak Made and staffs :)
10/10Villa Griya Atma has been a very pleasant location for my stay in Bali. I stayed there with a family of friends (a couple with a 2 years old girl) and a friend. The villa is located in the surrounding of Ubud and requires travelers to cater for their own transportation. The services offered are of high quality: villa staff can arrange for in-villa dining or a private driver as required. The villa is very spacious and each bedroom is huge and beautiful. It was a perfect setup to spend time with people with different needs and tastes, as the family could easily take care of their kid in their own room and decide if and when they wanted to spend time with the rest of us. The garden is huge and beautiful and sports amazing views of the surrounding rice paddies. The suites have outside showers, quite typical in Bali. I would totally recommend this villa to other travelers as we had a fantastic time here.
10/10We stayed in villa Griya Atma during 5 days. We were six adults and four kids. We have spent an amazing stay, everything was thought for us to feel home. The setting was wonderful and everyone had a great time. The house is spacious, thoughtfully decorated . I wanted to thank again the staff who was extremely nice, always there for us. Memorable stay!!!!
