Villa Tantangan is a cluster of ocean-front, solar-powered buildings that might as well serve as models of eco-friendly, innovative architecture. The villa has three bedrooms – each in a spacious, individual building. The master or beach view bedroom is on one side of the main villa. This bedroom has a canopied and draped king-sized bed as well as a long day bed on its covered terrace leading to the swimming pool. The sea view bedroom is on the other side of the main villa. This bedroom has a canopied and draped queen-sized bed as well as direct access to the swimming pool. The temple view bedroom is behind the beach view bedroom. This temple view bedroom has draped twin beds as well as a scenic terrace. Both the beach and temple view bedrooms have dedicated bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. While the sea view bedroom has a dedicated bathroom with a shower.

At the edge of a vast and verdant headland of trees and well-kept lawn that looks out to the sea is the 20-meter swimming pool. Dive into its refreshing, crystal-clear waters for brisk, routine laps, some aimless wading or some splashy play. For a breather, you can stretch out on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas, or on soft and wide mattresses out in the sun – all on the wooden pool deck.
Parallel to the swimming pool is the breezy, semi-open and sunny main villa. At one end of this villa is the living area with its large and long, cushioned, wooden couches. Here, you can all converge for some engaging conversation. At the middle space is the dining area. On its wooden table that can seat up to eight, you can all sample authentic Balinese specialties – as well as international favorites – masterfully prepared by the onsite chef at the fully-equipped, ultra-modern kitchen in another building behind the main villa. Next to the dining area is the media room where you can all gather to catch your favorite show, or to watch, once again, your all-time favorite classic film. For some me time, you can settle comfortably on the soft, individual mattresses of the main villa’s wood-decked covered terrace. Or, marvel at the panoramic views from the bale on a 15-meter high cliff at the very edge of the property. A detached unit behind the kitchen provides office space where you can briefly monitor ongoing projects.
Tasked to render the villa’s day-to-day services is a staff led by a manager supported by housekeepers, kitchen helpers, gardeners, maintenance and security personnel. In addition to the chef, a babysitter, a driver and a laundry helper may be called in upon your request. However, their services come with a separate charge. Car rental is also available.
Villa Tantangan is located in Beraban – a village in Bali’s Tabanan Regency. Right at the villa’s front door is Nyanyi Beach – an emerging surfing destination in Bali – where you can ride big waves, or simply relax on black sandy shores. Next door is the Nirwana Bali Golf Club. See if your game is at par with its 18-hole course that traverses rice terraces and seaside cliffs. Venture out of the villa and go sightseeing at the ancient sea temple Tanah Lot, at the iconic Pura Ulun Danu Bratan and at the tranquil Pura Luhur Batukaru. You can also go on a nature trip with visits to the Bali Botanic Garden, the Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest and the Bali Butterfly Park.
