Sungai Jungle Villa I

In touch with nature with luxury!! Our second visit to Sungai. First was six years ago to Gold for our honeymoon, this time with family in toe. 3 1/2 girl, 9month boy. Villa Sungai was perfect for us, our daughter has pool and hight awareness (a few drop off areas looking out to jungle) (if ur child is a runner this is not the place for u) (staff set up a play pen for baby) We slept in V3, kids both in V2, interconnecting. Staff set up a porter cot in V1 when baby got troublesome. We used V1 as our living room, relaxing watching movies in afternoons. The double outdoor showers and out door bath in V1 became a beautiful place to bath kids. The amazing Wayan cooks beautiful food, our favs, breaky: bircher muesli and plain buttermilk pancakes, Lunch: nasi goreng with chicken satay, Dinner favs: traditional Balinese chicken curry, coconut rice, stir fried veggies, red duck curry, green mango salad and Tom yum Kai,. Dessert favs, black sticky rice, Traditional Balinese coconut pancakes, chocolate fondu puddings. Highlights: Driver on call at any time, laundered clothes (one of my favs as came Hm with no washing!!) VIP transfers, laps in the pool listening to tunes looking out overthe lush landscape. Pool is a tad bit cold but nice and refreshing once in, big tropical trees shade pool. Location to me is the perfect, I love that your surrounded my lush tropical gardens, no walls, looking out over a jungle of wildlife. The staff are lovely and make the stay. No negatives, you have to be aware there are bugs around but are not dangerous like Australia. Don't be in a rush, try to slow down to Bali time, i learnt that getting snacks for the kids in between meals helped from them getting impatient. The local sounds didn't bother us, rather we liked to hear the roosters, pigs etc. The in room speakers with mini pods playing relaxing music drowned out the rooster crows during the night and early morn. Loved our stay, 9nights was ideal for us, really got to relax!! We went to pan pacific for the water slides twice, one visit to Seminyak and one to Ubud (Bridges was lovely for a meal, drink at bar and then meal above) was the only time we left villa, my husband surfs so he left villa every morning, only 15min drive to Canggu. My daughter and I got a treatment nearly everyday from beautiful Desa, brilliant family holiday for all. Will be back next year to do it all again!!

Villa Sungai is the ideal, serene location to enjoy with your family or friends. We stayed with our two children and loved every minute. There was enough space that we could each have our own room and the staff were very accommodating to the needs of a baby. Their food menu is amazing and fresh with plenty of Balinese options as well as a perfect chicken sandwich for the less adventurous. It's only a 15 minute drive to Canggu, so very convenient for exploring beaches, restaurants, and shops. The perfect little getaway.

Traveled as a family of 6 adults and 3 kids. By the time we reached the villa, we were all tired and sleepy. But the moment we stepped in, everyone was re-energized. The sight of villa alone made everyone super happy. The "welcome" by entire staff at the doorstep was like an Indian wedding reception. For first fifteen minutes, i just looked around at how simplicity can be ultimate luxury. If I ever get to design my home, i would just clone this villa. Attention to detail was out of this world. Made and his team are just amazing. They are just PhDs in hospitality. Words are not enough. Wish we had more time. Next time definitely planning a longer stay,
