Service was great, staff were very accommodating especially with a toddler in tow. Stayed at both the 2br and 3br. 2br was rather small and old, but the 3br was at least 3x larger and much more comfortable. Be sure to order the daily breakfasts slightly earlier as the staff usually start cooking only at the requested timing rather than serving at the requested timing. Location is very good with many food options within walking distance.
This was our second visit to Akara and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to have the use of a 3 bedroom villa this time which was huge. Great size King Bedroom and huge master bathroom. Upstairs bedrooms had bathrooms similar in size - massive. Excellent size pool bathed in sunshine most of the day. Kitchen looking a bit tired (but hey, I wasnt there to cook). Fabulous location - really easy walking distance to most of the good restaurants, bars, spas etc around Seminyak. Helpful staff and transfers make for a happy holiday maker :-) We'll definately return to Akara villas when next in Bali.
We have just enjoyed our second visit to Akara Villas after our fabulous experience there in April 2015, and it did not disappoint! In fact, if anything, we enjoyed it even more, as all the wonderful staff from our first visit are still there and remembered us. Apart from the beautiful villas and the very convenient location, the management and staff really make this place very special! Purna and his competent and friendly team do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable, relaxing and memorable! This particular visit had several logistical challenges that required cooperation, coordination as well as secrecy from Purna and the team at Akara which were handled willingly and without fuss. The trip was for the celebration of our youngest daughters' 21st birthday, as she wanted to celebrate it in Bali with her 2 older sisters. However, she was unaware that we were joining them at Akara on day 4. There was much coordination and liaison with Purna prior to the trip to plan the surprise without our daughter finding out. Emails were always answered promptly and clear communication was very easy. In addition to this, I notified Purna the day before our daughters arrived that one of them has coeliac disease, and if they were able to offer gluten free bread for breakfast. Not a problem, they found a bakery in Kerobokan that made gluten free bread and had it available the next day. They also supplied a gluten free chocolate cake, without us asking, for our daughters 21st birthday! Purna also assisted with other "out of the ordinary" requests, again willingly and without fuss. The team at Akara are delightful - caring, attentive and friendly, with good senses of humour and easy to talk to and communicate with. Nothing is too much trouble! It would appear that the success of this team is due not only to Purna's good management, but also due to the fact that they have all been working here as a team for many years. Thank you Purna and all your wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome again and looking after us so well, and for giving Bianca a very memorable 21st birthday! We hope to be back again!
