10/10I've traveled quite a bit and have seen some beautiful places, this was definitely up there with the best of them. The large multi villa layout amongst the trees and along the river was stunning. Even as I was leaving on the last day of our visit I was still blown away. I was there with friends who got married and it was an awesome destination wedding. The staff was awesome. Truly an incredible experience.
10/10We recently stayed at Villa The Sanctuary for 5 nights with a group of friends for our wedding. I cannot fault anything with this place, the staff are beyond amazing and catered to our every need. I have never experienced such amazing hospitality and service, Salam, Putu & all of the staff truly are a credit to the villa. We had a variety of different food allergies and special diets in our group ranging from, vegan, vegetarian to gluten free and each was catered for perfectly. The staff were well informed regarding the special requirements of each diet and the chef provided amazing indonesian food for us each day. There are no words to describe how beautiful the villa grounds are. The photo's don't even do it justice. The tropical scenery and beautiful river running behind the villa provide the perfect backdrop for a Balinese wedding. Our wedding guests were all blown away by the experience and my husband and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favour and book your next Bali holiday at Villa The Sanctuary, you won't regret it!
10/10Villa the Sanctuary was absolutely wonderful in every way! We stayed 5 nights for a friends wedding recently. The rooms were fantastic, and the setting absolutely stunning! You couldn't ask for anything more! The thing that really topped off our stay were the absolutely amazing staff! They were like mind readers! The food was delicious too with a wide variety of traditional dishes and some non traditional also! Cannot recommend this place enough, already starting to plan our next stay!
10/10A group of 29 of us (16 adults + 13 teenagers) stayed in July to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our first impression was that the photos don't do justice to The Sanctuary - it is bigger and more beautiful than we had dared imagine. Throughout our week the service was fantastic, the food was outstanding and the organisation was impeccable. The kids loved the bunk rooms and had as much fun as the adults did. A huge "Thank you" to Salem, Putu and their team
10/10Salam, Putu and and all the lovely staff at Villa The Sanctuary. Myself, Michael and our guests would like to start by saying a huge thank you for our AMAZING stay at Villa the Sanctuary. Our entire stay was perfect! The staff, the grounds, the rooms, the service and the food were exceptional! This place sure looks amazing in photos but know photo shows how truly beautiful this villa is. We stayed at Villa the Sanctuary for 5 nights and had our wedding here and what a backdrop it was! Nothing was ever too much or too hard to ask of the villa staff. From organising massages, manicures and pedicures at the villa with short notice, arranging extra food for outside villa guests coming for dinner and even keeping us up to date on the airport closures to keep our mind at ease for guests trying to arrive into Bali during the time of the volcanic ash causing closure of the airport. Thank you again for making such a special time in our lives extra special and we hope to be back one day soon!!
10/10The Villa Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful and peaceful locations I have been too. The staff here are incredibly attentive and the food wonderful - better than most places we ate elsewhere in Bali. The accommodation is stunning and all individual room are wonderful. Would highly recommend this for a group holiday.
10/10We stayed 5 nights for a wedding in July. The amenities and bedrooms and the staff were all perfect. They could not do enough for you. They were helpful in many ways. The cleaning staff were thorough and very discreet. They seemed to time the cleaning when we were out of the room. The grounds are maintained beautifully and the presentation picture perfect. We loved our stay here and the wedding was superb to say the least.
10/10We stayed at this incredible villa for five nights and had our wedding on the property. It was the most relaxing 5 days off my life, they took care of everything and organised transport for the 17 guests we had staying at the villa everytime we wanted to go somewhere. We were lucky enough to be staying in the Master Villa, having our own private infinity pool and a bathroom bigger than my apartment was amazing. Our guests loved staying here, everyone has there own space but yet could come together to relax around the pool or play a game of snooker. The media room was a lovely air conditioned area to read a book or just relax! The meals at the villa were amazing and they were happy to organise anything we needed. Really hope we are lucky enough to stay here again!
10/10I stayed with my company for a 3 week 'work & travel' period at the Sanctuary. we were a group of 18 persons aiming for a quiet and first class location. We had a few kids with us. It's kind of hard to describe our experience properly without sounding cheesy, but I will try anyway. Let's start with what makes this place unique. It's the staff. The service which is offered is flawless ... finding that fine line ... not bothering you too much but being there at all times like a ghost that can read your mind. Salam and Putu are very well educated and warm persons who are managing the villa and are in charge of the service team. Instantly the whole team started picking up our habits and preferences... offering service and assistance accordingly. We were 18 persons but the crew remembered everyones name after just a few days making it very family style to be adressed by your name in very natural way. how you like your coffee, when you usually get up, what you prefer for breakfast ... with all of that the crew was familiar offering respective service throughout the whole day. We felt being welcome as guests all the time. There was not a single negative situation. Whatever challenge we had with such a big group (like transport, sickness, babies crying) the crew handled everything perfectly. We are still talking about this frequently and love to remember the authentic and warm atmosphere created by the crew. Most of them you don't really notice but all together there are 21 people working in the villa every day... maintaining the garden, cooking etc. Location: The pictures on the website are stunning, but don't do the place justice at all. It's a beautiful property, the garden is perfectly trimmed and leaves are picked up 3 times a day. It's a bit far away from the buzzing centers of Kuta, but therefore it is very quiet. Bali is getting more and more busy and noisy which we didn't like. So we were more than happy to be able to come home to this retreat. Rooms etc: The Rooms are very well maintained and all have something special to it. Some have perfect views over the river, some spacious balconies or open bathrooms. The Masterbungalow has its own seperate pool. There is simply nothing to complain about. There are plenty of fresh towels and drinking water in each room... TV (which we never used), Aircon, Fridge etc. Food: … is simply great... I know I repeat myself but thats the truths ... the variety of dished that can be ordered separately or as we preferred familystyle is first class. I could go on explaining how perfect everything was ... about the infinity pool with jacuzzi, the billlard room or the massages we ordered almost everyday, but I think you got it already. This place is magical because the location is great, rooms are luxury and the service is perfect ... all shining in the friendliness of the staff. We had NOTHING to complain about. We will always remember our stay and feel a bit homesick to gade, putu, putu, salam, devi and all the others.
8/10Villa The Sanctuary is simply gorgeous and the pictures don't begin to touch it. 9 (or 10 including a bunkhouse) individually established rooms span the quite large property and are walled in glass. Several have views of the lovely small river flanking the property. Each room is lit for ambiance and several include outdoor and indoor showers as well as bathtubs. The beds are very comfortable with nice linens and covered with mosquito netting. The grounds are constantly being tended and include a large field for running around, pretty paths connecting the buildings, and a Ganesh or Nandi to discover along the way. The rooms are meticulously cleaned and de-bugged and if you're lucky enough to have a private gecko, you'll not see Mosquitos. There's an infinity pool that feels like you're swimming into the jungle - the kids never wanted to get out. The pictures on the website accurately cover the outdoor media/mancave rooms. Also, my fiancé at the time and I stayed in apartment 1, meaning I had my own private pool. Be sure to take time to appreciate the artistry of the mason work and craftsmanship throughout the property. Every member of the 26 strong staff is thoughtful and extraordinarily efficient. They truly treated us like family. Putu seamlessly manages and oversees the Villa's complex operations and is deeply caring man. Salam is a superb concierge and food/beverage manager and met every inkling of a thought or request with creativity and effortless execution. The professionalism of the drivers and the smiles and careful anticipation of the butlers helped us give in to the luxurious experience. Oh yeah, and the food is to die for. I must make special mention of our request for a wedding ceremony. I came to Bali hoping for something special but from concept to execution, our wedding was perfection. We were given the wedding of our dreams, one that reflected the beauty and spirituality of Bali. We had a measure of expectation that The Villa would provide an exceptional experience, but it beyond exceeded our expectations. In fact, it's been completely breathtaking. Just to keep it real, the wifi is pretty rotten. If you plan to work while out of town, just know that your patience will be tested. Also, there are many staircases and without railings, as well as steps that you could miss if you're not careful. So be sure to look where you're going. Also, I wouldn't recommend it if your group has anyone with challenged mobility. In essence, I give a deep bow of gratitude to Villa The Sanctuary and its hundreds of hands for creating memories that will last a lifetime.
