Villa Metana is a compact vacation residence composed of two separate buildings at opposite ends of the property. The architectural design is predominantly contemporary. Although there are touches of the traditional visible in some parts of the villa. The areas and rooms are spacious with interiors that are well laid out, stylish, coordinated and complementary to the overall color scheme. An embodiment of what is current and in vogue, Villa Metana, with its enviable location, is truly in its element — a chic and swanky villa right where all the action is — cosmopolitan, hip and trendy Seminyak.
The villa has four bedrooms — 3 bedrooms located downstairs, and another one bedroom located upstairs. All have canopied, king-sized beds as well as dedicated bathrooms.
The villa’s outdoor area is equally divided between a well-maintained lawn fringed with trees and the 11-meter swimming pool. Immerse yourself in its glassy and inviting waters — for a cool and soothing dip, some unmindful wading or playful splashing. Up on the poolside deck, you can lazily lie on the cushioned, wooden pool beds under the trees or on the soft mattresses under the shade of the bale.
The swimming pool directly leads to the furnished covered terrace of the main pavilion. Airy and spacious, this semi-open pavilion houses the living area with its large and long cushioned couches facing a big widescreen TV. Here, you can all sit around comfortably to watch the latest episode of the newest blockbuster series or to relive the unforgettable scenes of your all-time favorite, classic movie. Across the pavilion, at the other end — perhaps a part of the covered terrace — is the dining area. On the wooden table that can accommodate six, you can all savor one another’s delicious culinary creations which you all carefully prepared, one by one, at the fully-equipped, modern kitchen alongside the dining area. Additional seating is also provided by the kitchen counter which can double as a bar.
Overseeing the villa’s operations and upkeep is a staff comprising of a pool attendant, a gardener, housekeepers and security personnel. A driver and a laundry helper may, upon your request, be called in. Their services, however, will be charged separately. A car is also available for rent.
By choosing to stay at Villa Metana, you put yourself right at the center of Seminyak — Bali’s tourism hub. Make your way to the Oberoi District and stroll through Eat Street — the foodie strip with its casual to fine-dining restaurants. The must-try dining places here are La Lucciola and Mamasan. As you continue your walk, you will surely stumble upon fashion boutiques, novelty shops and souvenir stores. You will, eventually, arrive at Double Six Beach. Find a cozy spot at one of the cafes and chill till sunset. Once the night spots pulsate to life, tour the must-see and must-be-seen-in bars and clubs especially Ku De Ta.
8.2/10Villa Metana was perfect for our birthday weekend getaway. It sits in the centre of Seminyak, where all the action happens. Literally 10m out the gate, we're on the main street, with amazing restaurants and bars and boutiques aplenty. Our fav restaurants have to be Mykonos for the juicy lamb chops, and GInger Moon for its delicious fried rice, and mocktails. We checked out La Favella, just up the road and simply loved the space and music ... and awesome security. Villa Metana is also abt 1 km from Motel Mexicola, where we walked to for drinks on our first night. That place is worth going to just for the experience. And of course, Ku De Ta is a must-visit for the sunset and awesome menu! Should you wish to grab a taxi, you'll find plenty just out the front of the villa. Ensure you get a quote of the fare before entering the taxis. Villa Metana is certainly worth checking out. We spent more time in the pool and lazing around the garden and el fresco dining/kitchen area. Despite its proximity to the main street, we can barely hear any noise. Our house keepers, Putu & Yomang, cooked us quite a spread for breakfast (which comes with the villa booking) and tea and dinner (which we arranged especially with Putu). Putu also made special arrangements for us to have our massages by the pool side with having several masseurs come to the villa. Lovely! We'd also like to make a special mention of Komang, the guy house keeper, who raced to the airport on his motorbike just to deliver my friend's purse that was accidentally left behind at the villa when we checked out. All this without even our knowledge! By the time we called Villa Bali's line, we were informed Komang was waiting for us at the airport. We can never thank him and Villa Bali enough! It would also be worth mentioning that Villa Metana could perhaps look into checking their water pressure at the showers, as we experienced slight pressure problems whilst having our showers, and the bottom floor bedroom blinds should perhaps be changed to allow it to be drawn up -- to allow more light in ... and of course more view of the lovely garden and pool! Thanks Villa Metana and Villa Bali, for a memorable trip. We will definitely be back for more!
8.8/10We loved the cooks, always obliging and the food beautifully prepared. The ground staff and service to rooms was great. The location was great, easy access to everything and the bus / driver, who was recommended by the cook, excellent, thanks Gede.
10/10Loved loved loved the location for upmarket Seminyak shopping. Favorite restaurant to walk to was Cafe Bali (with pool for the kids) and Ultimo when we really needed a great pizza ($39 family of 2A + 3kids if you believe it!). Great pool and lovely staff.
