Villa Banyu is a luxury vacation residence that lives up to its name. Banyu being the Javanese word for water, the villa has a predominantly aquatic motif since it is, actually, surrounded by the swimming pool and a winding pond. One other outstanding feature of the villa is its contemporary take on traditional structures. With its innovative theme, layout and architecture, Villa Banyu truly rises above the rest.
The villa has four bedrooms. Three are on the ground level. Two of these have direct access to the swimming pool while the other one opens out to the pond. All three bedrooms, though, have dedicated semi-open bathrooms. The fourth bedroom is on the villa’s second level right across the game room.

Except for a few patches of grass, Villa Banyu’s property is mostly made up of water. The eight-meter, seemingly square-shaped swimming pool takes up about a quarter of the outdoor area. Especially if water is an element you love, you can indulge yourself right here – wading, floating and splashing about. Take a break if you can. Climb out of the pool and lazily lounge on the large and soft cushions as well as pillows of the covered pavilion – a contemporized version of the traditional bale. Or, you can make your way to the wide day bed on an elevated platform at the middle of the pond to bathe, this time, under the sun.
Adjacent to the pond is a semi-open pavilion that houses the living area. On its long and large cushioned couches you can all gather for lively conversation. Just a few steps away is the dining area with a long table that can comfortably seat eight. Here, the resident chef can delight your palate and satisfy your cravings with his culinary creations – concocted right at the modern kitchen perpendicular to the dining table. Up a flight of steps from the swimming pool area to the villa’s second level is a semi-open game room with a billiards table for your very own vacation tournament.
In charge of the villa’s efficient services is a staff composed of a manager, a butler, a housekeeper, gardeners, pool attendants as well as security personnel. Upon your request, the services of a babysitter, a chef and a spa therapist can be arranged. These, however, will be charged separately. Car rentals – with drivers – are also available.
From Villa Banyu, Jalan Oberoi – also known as Eat Street – is just a five-minute stroll away. Showcasing the foodie scene of Seminyak – the bustling tourist center of Bali, Eat Street features casual to fine-dining restaurants. Must-tries on this strip are La Lucciola and Mamasan. Wander off further and you’ll find fashion boutiques, novelty stores and souvenir shops. Most probably, you’ll end up at the beach where you can lounge at one of the cozy cafes. After dark, get to experience the pulsating night life at one of the hip bars and clubs such as Ku De Ta.
9.8/10Our whole group had an amazing time at the Villa. The staff were fantastic, especially with our young baby. They provided breakfast every morning, cleaned the rooms and made it a great place to be. The Villa is located so close to everything in Seminyak and most places you can walk. I would recommend this Villa to anyone travelling to Bali and I will definitely be booking it again soon.
8.8/10Well- what an incredible Villa- unlike anywhere else we have stayed on our travels, instant WOW factor when the front door opens. Bedrooms are large and modern in design, open lounge area is spacious and stylish with dozens of fish swimming around- and the staff are just superb in every way- giving great advice and insight into days and evenings out.

9.6/10Villa Banyu is lovely - great location only a block from Eat Street. The team were so attentive, cooking great breakfasts and looking after everything we could possibly need. We got to visit our usual favourites including Sisterfields, Ginger Moon, Cafe Bali, Mamasan to name a few. Great coffee place 2 minutes down the street.
10/10Our villa was absolutely stunning! The set up was fantastic, the rooms were gorgeous- especially with the lovely outdoor bathrooms. The highlight for us was the staff, Naba and Bayu, they were so warm, welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure ever comfort and detail was taken care of for us so we could relax and enjoy our time in the villa and in Bali. I couldn’t recommend the villa more and commend the staff on their excellent service. We will be sure to return.
10/10Choosing Villa Banyu was one of the best choices we have made in accommodation for bali, this villa is amazing in and out, can not list everything that's special because it all is. naba the butler made our holiday even better and was so gracious and helpful. absolutely loved it.
10/10I booked Villa Banyu for my birthday celebrations with friends and it was everything I hoped it would be. First impression was amazing, the pool area was bigger than I expected. Edgar was welcoming and helped us get settled introducing us to the villa staff. NABA was incredible, he made delicious breakfast each day. He was so helpful, picking up shopping, booking restaurants etc we really appreciated his service.Bayu was also fantastic keeping the villa in pristine condition each day. The mosquito's were quite bad on the first night however Naba arranged additional coils and spray. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable beds and the outdoor bathrooms really were a special touch. Highly recommend this villa for groups or families
8.8/10My friends and I were pleasantly surprised that the villa looks exactly like the photos posted on the website. Spacious and very interesting it has an ecosystem in the villa - fishes, tiny crabs. Water pressure in some of the toilets were not strong enough for a good shower and breakfast choices can be improved. Overall, good experience and no major complaints!
