10/10Me and my friend stayed at The Raja Singha for four nights last week. For the whole time, we were the only guests. I can't say anything bad : our driver Muhammad (I hope I spelled it correctly) was driving really well and it turned out that he is a boat captain too :-) Mr. Nyoman (again, I hope I spelled it correctly) took care of us the whole day. And Butu, the cook, created four excellent dinners that will be remembered by both of us. The cleaning staff did a great job too, as our room was always clean. We also really liked the afternoon tea. In my opinion, the snorkeling and dolphin safari that were included in our package were a little disappointing but this was neither the hotel's fault nor Muhammad's. All in all, we spent four fantastic nights at the Raja Singha and would recommend it definitely!
10/10Our villa had all we needed, seclusion, a comfortable bed, a desk with wi-fi, large bathroom, wide covered balcony with table for dining, beautiful private pool, a terrace with sun lounges and a comfortable bale for shaded reading, catching the evening breezes. The manager ran friendly well trained staff. Chef Putu was our own for 3 nights!...and he produced innovative beautifully prepared and presented dinners, served quietly and efficiently by Manager Nyoman; better that most restaurants and served with candles on our own terrace. The road off the winding bituminous road which led to the villa was rocky, narrow and would be a trial for most drivers. We hope the owners manage to get all stakeholders along that track supportive of remaking that track. The month of Ramadham was probably not the time we would prefer to travel next time, as the intrusion of broadcast music and chanting was not welcome. Never the less, we look forward to revisiting the Raja Singha.
10/10We recently stayed here for one night on a trip to Lovina. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The villa was beautiful and the view down to the ocean was stunning. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We dined at the restaurant that night and the food was simple but delicious. The villas are on the hillside and the one we stayed in probably had the best view and was the most private. When we wanted to order pre-dinner drinks, there was no phone or intercom in the room to contact reception, so we had to run up the stairs to order a drink. The road into the villas is a dirt track a bit rough but worth the effort once you get there.
