Today, June 8, is World Oceans Day<\/a><\/strong>, a yearly event to celebrate the beauty, the wealth and the promise of the ocean. The oceans generate most of the oxygen we breathe, they regulate our climate, they feed us and so much more! Surrounded by coral reefs and beaches, Bali is a mecca for every kind of watersport and we have listed for you some of the best best water activities the island has to offer. So whether you\u2019re going for a dip, surf, scuba-dive, let\u2019s celebrate and honour our oceans and get involved with their conservation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Surfing<\/h4>\n

\"Kuta_Indonesia_Surfer\"Bali is undeniably a surfer’s paradise with waves to cater to all types of levels.\u00a0The Bukit peninsula has some of the best breaks in Bali and attract pro surfers from around the world, such as Padang Padang, Bingin, Balangan, Uluwatu and Dreamland. Along Bali\u2019s south-western coast, the sandy beach breaks of Kuta, Legian and Canggu provide ideal spots to learn or improve your wave riding skills. For absolute beginners, there are several notable surf schools with experienced instructors who are determined to get you standing on your board within your first lessons.<\/p>\n

Snorkeling and Scuba diving<\/h4>\n

\"snorkelling\"Bali\u2019s warm waters are abundant with extensive coral reefs that are teeming with tropical marine life, making it one of the best places to dive and snorkel. Bali’s great dive spots are around Nusa Lembongan, Sanur, Amed<\/a>, Tulamben, Nusa Penida, Menjangan Island and Pemuteran. Bali\u2019s tropical sunshine can be strong, so we recommend wearing long sleeve rash guards and a minimum SPF 30 waterproof sunblock, preferably a natural sunscreen that doesn\u2019t bleach coral. And be mindful about the environment and try to cause minimum impact by taking only pictures and trying not to touch or tread on the corals.<\/p>\n

Rafting<\/h4>\n

Experience the ‘real Bali’ as you cruise along on inflatable rafts on either rushing rapids or steady streams while admiring Bali’s tropical jungles. The main rafting rivers in Bali are Ayung River in Ubud and the more challenging Telaga Waja in East Bali.<\/p>\n

Sea Walking<\/h4>\n

Kite surfing<\/h4>\n

\"Kite_surfing\"Kitesurfing combines surfing with some elements of wakeboarding and even bits of kite-flying. Bali has a good handful of spots for kitesurfing<\/a>, as well as notable kitesurfing schools. The best coasts for kitesurfing includes some of the regular surfing beaches of Sanur, Nusa Dua and Canggu for the more experienced kitesurfers.<\/p>\n

Banana Boat Ride<\/h4>\n

Get ready for a fast-paced bumpy rodeo ride on these inflatable craft towed by a boat. These rides are a great way to share some thrills on the waves as a group of up to five or six.
