You get to go to Bali!<\/b> &#8211; True !\u00a0 Yes I know \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2467 alignright\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/photo-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"photo\" width=\"324\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>It will be sunny all the time &#8230;<\/b> If you told me that this morning after I arrived completely wet at the office from a downpour, I would have laughed &#8230;<br \/>\nBut anyway, this is not wrong! In Bali, it&#8217;s summer 10 months out of 12. The rest of the time? Well&#8230; it&#8217;s spring!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>So, you&#8217;re going to spend your time sunbathing near the pool: <\/b>WRONG! After 6 months I&#8217;m still white! Not enough sun or just my fair skin? You decide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Of course! You&#8217;re not going to work at all:<\/b> Double wrong !<br \/>\nThat may be the reason for my white skin\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2465 alignleft\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/1797349_10152338518106064_1846696754_n-337x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"256\" \/>I don\u2019t care, \u2018cause anyway, you gonna eat rice all the time &#8230;<\/b>: Ok, that&#8217;s true ! &#8230;<br \/>\nBut after a while, you don\u2019t notice it anymore! And there are several kinds of rice:\u00a0 white, yellow, brown, spicy &#8230; Ok, it&#8217;s still rice!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>&#8230; And come back so skinny!<\/b> I would like that to be true &#8230;<br \/>\nBut Balinese food is really REALLY good! Although <i>almost<\/i> everything contains rice, it is so varied that you can never get enough!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>In addition, I think they eat super spicy there\u2026 With your peppers and chili allergy, it will be hard!\u00a0<\/b>Ah yes! That&#8217;s true &#8230;<br \/>\nWhen the rice is orange, it\u2019s a bad sign for sensitive stomachs! Moreover, speaking of sensitive stomachs: when dining at an Indo restaurant, eat local and forget about European food!<br \/>\nAnother tip : &#8220;Tidak Pedas&#8221; means \u201cnot spicy\u201d in Bahasa Indonesia \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>You will miss French breakfast sooo much! <\/b>Not so true actually!<br \/>\n<b><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2466 alignright\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10255246_10152400931151064_4303081076795983738_o-450x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"243\" height=\"243\" \/><\/b>Caf\u00e9 Moka, Mr. Spoon, Bali Deli (the list goes on) are all the official sponsors of chocolate croissants in the morning and they are pretty good! So, it was perhaps not worthy to hide a cargo of pastries in my hand luggage&#8230;<br \/>\nOn the other hand, I would not say the same for cheese and \u201ccharcuterie\u201d&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Li<\/b><b>fe in Bali must be so cheap!<\/b> Yes and no!<br \/>\nOk, I eat for 4 USD per day, but prices become relative when you see that the Balinese monthly wage is around 120 USD. Fortunately for everyone, Warungs exist <i>(small Indonesian restaurants)<\/i>. So, if we live like an Indonesian, life is cheap, but when you approach the tourist areas, the bill skyrockets&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A<b>nd you&#8217;re not gonna feel alone at the other end of the world?<\/b> Not so much!<br \/>\nWhen you are an expat, you are always meeting new people and making new friends, locals as well as expats! So, if one makes the effort to put themselves out there, you are not alone for long.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2463 alignleft\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/1-photo-1-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"221\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Moreover, Bali is an island, you&#8217;ll get bored quickly:<\/b> No way!<br \/>\nBali is much bigger than it appears once you have a closer look. Between the waterfalls in the mountains, hidden temples in the Ubud jungle, <a title=\"6 White Sand Reasons to Book it to the Bukit\" href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/bukit-beaches\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">secret Bukit beaches<\/span> <\/a>and all restaurants of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/en\/find\/seminyak\">Seminyak <\/a>to test, there is plenty to do!<br \/>\nAnd what is also nice about Bali, is that it has quite a few neighboring islands! In just a couple of hours by boat and plane, landscape and culture changes completely!<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">*<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>OMG, you must surf every day and be so good by now!<\/b> If I was a surfer, probably! But I&#8217;m not a surfer, so no\u2026! Too bad!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Be careful, I heard that driving a scooter in Bali is dangerous<\/b>. Not wrong &#8230; We just need to be careful and remember a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Driving a motorbike in Bali : the Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts\" href=\"https:\/\/www.villa-bali.com\/guide\/driving-motorbike-bali\" target=\"_blank\">few important things<\/a><\/span>! At the end of the day, it\u2019s true that we spend most of our time on the scooter in Bali.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Bali- once you&#8217;re there, you&#8217;re never coming
