Party Hard in Bali!

Nightlife in South Bali, which includes Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta,  is certainly happening, there is always something exciting going on, and it is up to you to keep up with the frenzied pulse of Bali’s nightlife. From fashion shows, beach parties, hot dancing, to sleek lounges and dive bars, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. We give you some tips to having a fabulous night out!

1. Go late ~ midnight

Bali’s nightlife starts late at night, close to midnight, and you will be disappointed by the lack of crowds if you go there too early. After midnight, however, the pace picks up and Bali’s pubs and clubs swing into life. A tip is thus not to take dinner too early,  or you might get bored sitting around and waiting for the party to start. You might as well use the time to slot in a massage or one last trip to the boutique shops!

2. Try the local Bintang beer

How can you travel to Bali and not try the local favorite at least once? Bintang Beer literally means ‘star beer’ and you should certainly have a swig of this Balinese star. If you like it, all the more reason to indulge whilst you’re on holiday, as prices are pretty cheap, at about US$3 for an ice cold beer. You can easily find it all over Bali, from restaurants and bars to supermarkets and convenience stores.

 3. You can have your ice cold drinks

You might be very concerned about getting Bali Belly from consuming ice that is contaminated. However, rest assured you can indeed have your ice cold drink, as bagged ice is now regulated by the government and is thus subject to quality control. This ensures that it is safe for human consumption. So no worries about having to drink warm sodas, chill out with an ice cold one!

4. Avoid the illegal drug pushers outside Bali nightspots

We can’t emphasize this enough, don’t be tempted to take drugs on Bali. You might think that since the locals are selling it, you might be able to get away with it. In fact, those who sell the drugs are often police informants who will then tip off the police to get you. Party hard without drugs and you’ll have a great time.

5. Choose the right location that suits your taste

Lastly, know where to go for different types of nightlife to ensure you get the best experience possible. For example, beach parties are popular on Jimbaran beach, and those who enjoy a dive bar experience would like to get their groove on at Paddy’s or The Bounty, which is decked out as a pirate ship. Those looking for the ultra luxe experience, however, may prefer to head to Legian’s Vi Ai Pi or Eikon instead.

Now, all that’s left for you to do is to go forth and party like a rockstar! Enjoy!
