From the moment you enter Villa Desa Roro Estate, you are transported to a magical oasis. The seven bedroom villa comprises several traditional Balinese timber joglos that have been elegantly adapted for luxury living and decorated with unique artefacts that contribute to the villa's character and charm. Located in Canggu, this stunning property is just minutes away from Berawa beach, world-class surf breaks, trendy cafes and within a short drive from the buzz of Seminyak. The two villas that make up the Estate are connected via the parking area, so everyone can come and go as one group while still having their own space: the 5-bedroom Villa Desa Roro and the 2-bedroom Villa Desa Roro Dua, each with its own living areas, kitchen and swimming pool. One pool has a shallow area, perfect for young children. This property certainly ticks all the boxes for a memorable Bali holiday for families and groups of friends, from a quiet week together to a full celebration in the new garden event space. The seven luxurious air-conditioned bedrooms are spread out between the two villas, providing an ideal arrangement for extended families or groups of friends to enjoy blissful privacy.
The first villa, Villa Desa Roro Dua, houses two spacious bedrooms with king-sized beds enveloped in billowing mosquito nets and crisp white linens and ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. One of these bedrooms has a Smart TV, and a baby cot can be set up on request.
The other five bedrooms are spaced throughout the three pavilions of the second villa, Villa Desa Roro. Two comfortable bedrooms rest behind the main living pavilion featuring king-size beds draped in mosquito netting, ensuite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers, a private terrace or relaxing pond views.
Occupying an entire pavilion and overlooking the swimming pool, the master bedroom boasts a king size bed with a traditional hand-carved wooden panel, a lounge area with a large Smart TV with streaming services, large wardrobe and ensuite bathroom featuring a rain shower, twin vanity and a bath tub. A private working desk and the master's own massage bed create the feeling of a large suite.
Located in a separate pavilion facing the pool are two smaller bedrooms, similar in design, with canopied four-poster king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Both rooms share a communal living space with several sitting areas to enjoy, including a wide range of board games.

Between the two villas, the Estate's tropical grounds give every age plenty to do: wide lawns for outdoor fun, shady corners for reading, and quiet spots to split off from the group. A new event space in the garden can host celebrations of up to 100 guests, arranged on request and subject to approval. The large outdoor family table at Desa Roro is ideal for big group dinners.
Large wooden decks, furnished with single or double sun loungers shaded by umbrellas, surround the two swimming pools, one in each villa. The pool at Villa Desa Roro Dua has a shallow area where small children can safely splash and play, while the villa also boasts a spacious gazebo, perfect for a relaxing massage or a shaded siesta. In the larger villa, tucked behind the master suite, is an elevated massage gazebo. This is the perfect place to spend a quiet morning of pure relaxation.

Both villas have their own vast open-air living and dining areas with ample space for everyone to lounge, dine and relax. The sliding glass doors open onto uninterrupted views across the pools and gardens from a variety of seating areas under soaring roofs. Cooled by ceiling fans, the expansive living pavilions are furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs. Several antiques, paintings and artefacts give both spaces a sleek and polished ambiance. Two dining tables are available for indoor dining, and each villa also has an outdoor table for family-style meals together.
The spacious gourmet kitchens are conveniently positioned next to the dining areas and are fully equipped with modern appliances and amenities. Each villa also has a dedicated work desk for anyone who needs to log on, and a wide range of board games including a poker set, Scrabble, Monopoly and Jenga.

During your stay at Villa Desa Roro Estate, you will be looked after by a large team of delightful, gracious and open-hearted staff who will make every effort to ensure your stay is a memorable one. They are wonderful with children, and their home-cooked meals are a guest favourite, from leisurely breakfasts to candlelit dinners and BBQ feasts, all prepared and served by the team on request. Massages can be arranged in the gazebo or in the master suite, and the team is happy to organise day trips around the island. Meals, BBQs and spa treatments are organized on request at an additional cost.
The Estate is ideally located within walking distance to a collection of cool shops and funky cafes like Bungalow Living, Milk & Madu and Milu by Nook, as well as several well-regarded yoga studios. Berawa, the nearest beach, is a mere two minute drive or 12 minutes walk away, and Finn's Beach Club is close by for sunset drinks. Seminyak with its wide choice of restaurants, chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant boutiques is a further 10 minute drive away (depending on traffic). Or just switch off the phone, relax and enjoy everything this stunning villa has to offer.
