Villa Desa Roro

All five air-conditioned bedrooms are spaced throughout the three pavilions of the villa and come with king-size beds draped in mosquito netting, ensuite bathrooms with single or double basins made from ancient Chinese ceramic bowls and walk-in rain showers.

One of the two bedrooms located in the main living pavilion enjoys a private shaded terrace with rattan armchairs looking over the garden, while the second room boasts serene views of the ornamental lotus pond.

The master bedroom occupies in an entire pavilion and can be accessed from the side of the main living pavilion on the wooden walk-way above the ornamental pond or the sliding glass doors from the pool deck. Rattan armchairs and a small sofa provide a cosy spot for morning coffee. The bathroom has the added luxury of a bathtub and a private massage table. And should you need to log onto your emails urgently, you can do so from the desk made from reclaimed wood.

In the third stand alone pavilion facing the pool, two smaller bedrooms, similar in design share a communal living space with several sitting areas to enjoy. Guests can choose to gather together on the four armchairs and play at one of the many vintage board games available. Or simply relax on the sofa or enjoy a glass of wine at the rattan table with four matching chairs located at the front of the pavilion.

At the centre-stage of the villa is the 12 meter swimming pool surrounded by a sociably-sized wooden pool deck, making it the ideal place for entertaining and lounging. Single and double sun loungers with umbrellas are placed around the pool to soak up Bali’s sunshine. Located at the end of the pool, behind the master suite, is an elevated mini yoga studio for those wanting to spend a quiet morning of meditation and asanas while enjoying the view of the sparkling pool.

The open-sided living room overlooks the pool, garden and pond, and functions as the central congregating spot for guests at Villa Desa Roro. A collection of paintings, exotic artefacts from the Indonesian archipelago and South East Asia lend the villa its unique style and ambience. Under the soaring roof of the wooden joglo, guests can get together on one of the two comfortable sofas. To the side a solid teak dining table and comfortable rattan chairs can accommodate 6 people for a formal dinner. Next to the dining area is a modern kitchen, equipped with a wine fridge and all the modern appliances and amenities.
