Ambalama Villa Bali is a cluster of about six pavilions all showcasing innovative tropical architecture. With woven wood as the predominant design element, interiors are appointed with complementary permutations of chic and stylish woven wood furnishings. While amenities are of hotel and resort quality – for each and every guest’s pure pleasure and indulgence. Nestled on a slope with unobstructed views of Canggu’s renowned rice terraces and Cemagi Beach, Ambalama Villa Bali gives you a sense of the next big thing in country style vacation living.
The villa is ideal for hosting events and is surrounded by other villas that also cater to events.
The villa has seven bedrooms. The master bedroom situated in its own two-level pavilion which has a balcony with scenic views and the living area can be converted as a sleeping area by placing a mattress. It is connected to another guest bedroom downstairs, with an outdoor bathtub and shower., nine-meter infinity pool, mini bale, and pool beds. This bedroom also has a canopied and draped king-sized bed, as well as a dedicated bathroom with an outdoor bathtub and shower. The master bedroom also opens out to a balcony with scenic views. There are four other bedrooms – each in an individual pavilion. Three of these bedrooms have canopied and draped king-sized beds, while one has twin beds. All four bedrooms have dedicated, semi-open bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. All four also open out to private sitting areas on wooden decks beside ponds.

Alongside the villa’s main pavilion is the 25-meter infinity pool. Dive into its mesmerizing, glassy waters for routine laps or for some aimless wading. Or, pull everyone in for some splashy fun and games. For a breather, you can recline on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas around the infinity pool. Or, lounge on hefty and cushioned woven wood couches and chairs under the shade of the spacious, contemporized bale at one end of the infinity pool.
On the airy, semi-open, spacious and high-ceilinged second level of the main pavilion is the living area. Cushioned woven-wood sofas and chairs make it easy to lounge together, with a 98” SMART TV and home sound system for shared movie nights or casual downtime. On the ground level is the spacious dining area with its long wooden table that can comfortably accommodate 10. Here, you can all indulge in authentic Balinese cuisine – as well as your most requested comfort food – dished out by the onsite chef from the fully-equipped, modern kitchen in another room beside the dining area.
On duty to deliver the villa’s day-to-day services is a helpful staff consisting of a chef, a pool attendant, a gardener as well as housekeepers and security personnel. A babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may, upon your request, be called in. Their services, however, will be charged separately. Bike and car rentals are also available.
Ambalama Villa Bali is located in Canggu. Close to the villa is Pantai Batu Mejan or more popularly called Echo Beach. Acknowledged as one of Bali’s surfing hotspots, Echo Beach also has magnificent seascapes, magical sunsets and mouthwatering seafood. Must-try dining places are Sticky Fingers, Osteria Italiana, Sate Bali, Dian Café and Echo Beach House. A must-see attraction is Tanah Lot – a centuries-old sea temple formed from rock. You may also want to take on the challenge of the Nirwana Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course which encompasses rice fields and cliffs overlooking the ocean.
8.8/10Our stay (1 month) at Villa Ambalama was amazing. The Villa’s were great. The gardens beautiful , the staff great. We especially enjoyed all the food created by Nourah. Ayu, did everything to make our stay above expectations. Our children and grand children will never forget this experience and have already said they want to go back to Bali, but only if they can stay at Villa Ambalama.
9.6/10Our stay at Ambalama Villa was wonderful. We travelled with 15 friends and the multiple communal spaces and pools were great for hanging out. Cemagi beach is a nice quiet area with a beautiful sunset view. There are stalls by the road where you can get food and Drinks but for groceries these are a little further away (10mins by car or scooter). Best to organise villa to pick up groceries for you beforehand which they can do so because the service and organisation is amazing. We were really well looked after by Ayu, Putu and the whole villa staff. There were 2 daily cleaning services which really helped to keep things tidy. The chef is also amazing at whipping up delicious meals which you can pre-book. Highlight was the BBQ meal with seafood and meat! We had the best time and highly highly recommend the complex!!
10/10Dear Wayan, Putu, Ayu, and every one of the amazing hosts and staff we've met throughout the trip. I truly can't express in words what an incredible experience this has been for us. I can safely say that Ambalama is my absolute favorite place in the world. The level of hospitality you've all provided was nothing short of world-class, and we felt so incredibly safe and secure here. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it more than you will never know. The trip was magical, unforgettable, perfect! We will definitely be back and I'm sure you'll meet some of our friends in the future. I will highly recommend Ambalama to everyone.

10/10What a refreshing & beautiful change of a Balinese resort. It is beautifully modern & filled with all the amenities you'd wish for. The staff were very attentive and provided good home-styled Balinese & Indonesian food. Fantastic for a family reunion as there are 4 large well-appointed villas. The main villa is also available for rental if necessary! I'd return for another visit as soon as I can find the time.
10/10The sight of Ambalama that greeted us upon our evening arrival was one that calmed the state of our minds - the generous space surrounding us, modern clean-line architecture but yet unmistakenly Balinese, the soft lighting so aluring. This villa-style getaway is luxurious and most impressive, designed by Ernesto, an Argentinian architect. The elevated rest area with 360 degree view of the nearby seafront and green padi terraces is fitted with eye catching gigantic wooden lourves. The team of service staff was most attentive to our needs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious, served on a long dinning table overlooking the 25' long swimming pool. The garden is lushly landscaped with tropical vegetations, augmented here and there with water features. We were told by the owner that a section of the padi terraces along is will soon be transformed into lily/lotus terraces; we can imagine how beautiful that can be when it's ready. The villa is located 200m away from a black sandy beach with a local temple complex that makes the site like a mini Tanah Lot. There is one master villa (2 storey with private pool) and 4 smaller villas, each comes with its own yard with water feature, high ceiling, posted bed, open shower/bath area with a small garden. Airport transfer was provided and we did not have to fuss around with local transportation; getting there was simply seamless and troublefree. Anyone reaching out for quiet moments in Bali, and yet not too far from the buzzling centre of Seminyak, should experience the beauty and luxury that Ambalama offers.
10/10I haven't been back in Bali for a few years, thus was most impressed by the arrival experience at the airport. It was so seamless I cleared Customs in about 10 minutes. Hence, within the hour, I was already at Ambalama Villa. The villa's surroundings facing the ocean, padi fields and the distant volcanoes provided the perfect setting to reconnect with nature. I liked the fact it's located in a traditional village, so we could take in the colorful religious processions and all. The staff's service made the stay memorable, while the accommodation and spaciousness of the villa - and especially the infinity pool facing the padi fields - made us wish we could stay there longer than our dates of visit. If you desire a complete retreat far from the madding crowd, this would be the ideal villa accommodation of choice.

10/10We have booked this villa to try out and we were greeted with a gasp of WOW of the entire villa. Rooms are separated with the rest thus I find it very private and feel I have my own space as we are travelled with big group. What more can I say and we had a great time together. The villa chef is great and always cooked us delicious cuisine. Staffs are friendly too and extremely helpful with a lovely smile always. I guess all Balinese are very friendly by nature. I will come back again and maybe I should ask if repeated guest will have a concession :) or a membership enrollment. Come and experience it yourself and you will definitely come back for more.
