Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Own Villa is a stunning cluster of pavilions that resembles an aboriginal Balinese village. Exemplifying the traditional architecture of ethnic, North Sumatra homes, these pavilions – or huts – have, as the chief design detail, huge and high alang-alang thatch roofs. Earthy interiors are appointed with a combination of ornate, rustic and weathered wood furnishings and pieces. While amenities – ingeniously fitted to adhere to the villa’s overall indigenous motif – are distinctively of hotel and resort grade to enhance ease and fun of each and every guest. Truly, Own Villa, in a class all its own, creates for you a well-deserved break with a back-to-nature and back-in-time appeal.
The villa has four bedrooms housed in individual pavilions. All have canopied and draped king-sized beds, as well as dedicated, semi-open bathrooms with rain showers.
At the center of the extensive garden’s well-maintained lawn and lush tropical foliage is the drop-shaped swimming pool. Immerse yourself in its mesmerizing, crystal clear waters for some unmindful wading. Or, pull everyone in for some splashy fun and games. Then move over to the pool’s built-in jacuzzi and relax in its bubbly waters. For a tan, you can lounge on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas on the poolside wooden deck.
At the airy and semi-open central pavilion is the living area with its large and long, cushioned and ornate wooden sofa. Here, you can all gather for engaging conversation. Adjacent is the dining area. On its timber wood table that seats eight, you can all get a taste of authentic local cuisine – as well as oriental and international favorites – dished out by the resident chef from the villa’s fully-equipped kitchen. In a detached pavilion at the edge of the property is the villa’s spa where you can ease aching muscles with a traditional Balinese massage accompanied by other pampering treatments.
On duty to deliver the villa’s everyday services is a staff which consists of a personal guest assistant, a pool attendant, a gardener as well as housekeepers and security personnel. In addition to the chef, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may, upon your request, be engaged. Their services will be charged separately however. Scooter and car rentals are also available.
Own Villa is situated in Umalas. Just 10 minutes by car from the villa is Seminyak – where you’ll seem to be transported back to the present. Find your way to the Oberoi District’s Eat Street – a foodie strip with casual to fine-dining restaurants. Highly recommended among these are La Lucciola, Mamasan, Metis and Sarong. Amble on and you’ll stumble upon malls, fashion boutiques, novelty shops and souvenir stores. Eventually, you will arrive at Seminyak Beach. Choose a spot at any of the cozy beach cafes and chill all afternoon. After dark, dance the night away at dazzling bars and clubs especially Potato Head and Ku De Ta.
We had a fantastic stay at own Villa! This is a great place! Very unique and authentic. The Own Villa is more beautiful as it is shown on the pictures. Quiet and peaceful place. A special mention for the villa staff who were very attentive and helpful. Thanks for the wonderful holiday! We had fabulous time and would highly recommend the Villa!
Own Villa is located in a quite area in the Umalas. About 15-20 minutes by car away from the beach. The villa is new and decorated with great taste. It creates a wonderful combination of traditional architecture and lay outs with modern comforts such as A/C and satellite TV. The pool is fantastic. Our kids enjoyed themselves tremendously. The service is very good. It is effectively a small boutique hotel with the staff only dedicated to the well-being of one client/family. The cook was excellent and cooked with fresh ingredients from the market (with a 5% markup). The owner Giacomo was very helpful and genuinely enjoyed our presence and being able to suggest things we might like. His golf club / Tanah Lot combination and his recommendation of an organic eatery in the middle of the Ubud ricefields were great suggestions. His ability to arrange for crucial world cup viewing in the villa was excellent.
