Villa Bidadari translates to 'Villa of Angels' and true to its name, staying here feels like having found heaven on earth indeed. This grand estate of luxury is found on the Southern tip of Bali, near to the islands most beautiful beaches. The property comprises one large main house and three separate luxury villas sharing one massive tropical garden. The villas can be rented out separately or all together, great for large families or groups of friends wanting to holiday together yet still enjoy lots of privacy. It is also a perfect wedding location.
Within the estate there are 7 air-conditioned bedrooms. Each private villas features a master suite on the first floor and a guest bedroom on ground level. The master suites have easy access to the plunge pools and relaxation balé upstairs. The rooms are furnished with large double beds, a leather sofa and a day-bed out on the breezy balcony. The en-suites boast large terrazzo bathtubs to soak in. The guest bedrooms feature queen-size beds and a separate bathroom equipped with a shower that is surrounded by natural stones and tropical plants. The main house also features a bedroom with a large double bed, a TV and a private en-suite.
The expansive garden is surrounded by lush tropical greenery, colourful flowers and ponds. In the heart of the garden sparkles the glorious curvy swimming pool. While you are sunbathing on the pool-side loungers, the kids can run around freely on the manicured lawn and in the evening a garden dinner party is easily organized with delicious food from the BBQ. Every villa also has a private garden and a plunge pool with a relaxation balé topped by a traditional alang-alang roof.
A timber bridge leads into the property of villa Bidadari. All the three separate villas within the estate have an open-plan living area of their own featuring an open kitchen, a dining area and a comfy sofa lounge where you can watch movies on the flat-screen TV or curl up with something to read from the book library. The main house features a large communal living room adjoined by a breezy veranda where you can step into the swimming pool. There is a deluxe sofa lounge to watch movies together or enjoy drinks while keeping an eye on the kids. There is also a dining area for enjoying meals together and a fully equipped kitchen.
The villa is fully staffed with friendly Balinese people going out their way to make your stay most pleasurable and memorable. There are attentive butlers, daily housekeeping, an excellent in-house chef cook with international experience and security guards at night.
Villa Bidadari is located near to Pandawa beach, a breathtaking white-sanded beach surrounded by nature. You can drive there in minutes or even walk when it is low tide. The ocean is great for swimming and there are water-sport activities for the adventurous among us. For an amazing sea food dinner drive down to the renowned Jimbaran Bay and for an enchanting experience during sunset time, drive to the Uluwatu Temple where you can watch a traditional Kecak dance. The hustling and bustling centre of Kuta of Seminyak is just a 30 to 40 minute drive away
9.6/10We had a fantastic family time at VB-ND. The staff were excellent, preparing great meals on request. The pool was perfect sized for a large family to splash around in. The rooms were large and airy. Rida (the stand in villa manager) helped us organize trips on short notice. A few areas of improvement: - pool toys would be good to have around - the ACs do need servicing (maybe upgrading) to deal with the Bali heat - we asked them to add a fan to the dining area which changed the experience. Worth keeping that as a fixture!
10/10I found the grounds of Villa Bidadari beautifully colourful and inspiring, around every corner another vista or a lotus pond with big pink lotus bulbs, and could not stop taking photos of the lovely Balinese vegetation and gardens. The five tastefully furnished villas are situated in peaceful and serene surroundings away from the heavily commercialized areas. There is still a village atmosphere with authentic Balinese people. I loved sitting on the cliffs overlooking a turquoise sea or going for walks on the beach to bat caves or the local Pandawa Beach. It is also close to Nusa Dua beaches and restaurants, although don't miss the delicious Indonesian home cooking and wonderful presentation. We were well looked after and could have stayed there all holiday along.
