Sanur villas near the beach

Sanur’s not quite the sleepy seaside town it was once. While its picturesque beach is still the main draw in town, Sanur now boasts a good selection of cafes, restaurants and travel activities. The vibes are tranquil and serene, making the town a great bet for vacationers seeking a restful beach vacation.

Choose from an array of modern, well-equipped villas located near the beach. Airy, light-filled indoor-outdoor spaces, sparkling pools and neatly manicured gardens are amenities common across our Sanur properties. What makes your stay extra special is the incredible hospitality of the on-site staff; your villa manager will attend to your holiday needs, and the entire team offers attentive, yet unobtrusive service.

Enjoy easy access to Sanur Beach. Just like the rest of the town, Sanur Beach exudes a relaxed, laid back vibe that you won’t find in the beaches down south. Hop on a bicycle or take a stroll along the Beachwalk, and take in the surrounding scenery as you go past cafes, fishing boats and beautifully preserved villas constructed many years back.

Fill up your days with yoga classes, spa treatments at luxury parlours, visits to art galleries, cooking classes and more. The Power of Now Oasis offers a stunning beachfront venue, Kayumanis Spa and Mercure Bali features incredible spa suites and treatments and the Bamboo Shoots Cooking School organises market tours and cooking lessons. Art lovers will appreciate the exhibitions, book launches and events at Griya Santrian Gallery.

The months of June, July and August are ideal for kitesurfing. Sanur offers the best kitesurfing on the island, thanks to its warm, shallow waters protected by a reef. Booties are recommended to protect your feet from the coral reefs. Lessons and equipment rental are available at Rip Curl School of Surf and Bali Kitesurfing School.

Cosy cafes, seafront restaurants and beach clubs are sprinkled all around town. From upscale venues to relaxed, unfussy eateries, Sanur offers something for every diner. We like starting our mornings at Maya's Coffee & Smoothie Bar and Bread Basket. Café Smorgas, Dusk Blue, Zula and Massimo are great lunch and dinner options.

Round out your day with a fine dining experience at CharMing Restaurant, where you’ll sample French-inspired fare or The Glass House, which dishes out impeccably executed Indonesian dishes.

Sanur is a convenient base for day trips and offshore excursions. Ubud, known for its thriving arts and culture scene, lush greenery and well-curated museums is an hour’s drive away. Seminyak, about 50 minutes’ drive from Sanur offers a different experience altogether - this trendy town is a tourist hotspot, thanks to its vibrant and varied dining, shopping and nightlife scene.

Or plan an offshore trip to the postcard-perfect island of Nusa Lembongan. Some of the island’s highlights include diving, snorkeling and visiting popular attractions like Devil’s Tears Bay, Crystal Bay and the cliff jumping point at the Blue Lagoon. It takes about 30 minutes to arrive at Nusa Lembongan by speed boat.
