Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Villa Taman Toya 1 is a charming traditional Balinese villa, nestled in a quiet lane of central Seminyak, stealing the hearts of those who seek a little tropical oasis in the most happening town of Bali island. This three-bedroom holiday home features a breezy open-plan living room, embracing the sweet island life and a real private garden with high bamboo walls surrounded by exotic greenery, making you feel far away from the hustle and bustle that awaits outside the villa.
A stone staircase guarded by a Buddha statue, leads up to the first floor of the pavilion, where the master suite awaits. This restful bedroom is spacious, characterized by reclaimed teak wood, giving a rustic feel. The wooden-panel windows open up to the view of the garden, allowing fresh air to circulate in the room. The room is furnished with a canopied king-size bed, a leather chair, a reading desk and a sofa which can be converted into an extra single bed. There is a huge dressing room that comes with lots of hanging space and a dressing table. The en-suite is party open-air for a tropical showering experience.
The other two bedrooms are found in a separate double-storey pavilion on the other side of the garden. The downstairs room features glass doors that slide open to the garden, giving almost direct swimming pool access while the room upstairs has a nice garden view through the many windows. Both the rooms feature air-conditioning, king-size beds and wardrobe closets with a mini-bar and a safe. The en-suites are partly open-air, fitted with rain-showers
The shady garden of villa Taman Toya 1 is real tropical and peaceful, with lush greenery growing all around and scenting frangipani trees with the flowers that are iconic for Bali, planted on the side of the natural tiled swimming pool that sparkles in the middle of the garden. The garden is enriched by traditional hand-carved sculptures and tranquil ponds. On the palimanan stone sun-deck there are rattan sun-loungers for those wanting to tan after swimming some laps in the crystal clear water of the pool.
The living room has a traditional Balinese design, with a high soaring roof, open to the tropical garden and an interior ruled by local natural materials such as teak wood and rattan and enriched by traditional artwork and bright coloured walls. The lounge corner features Balinese sofa's cushioned with green and pink pillows and a relax chair quilted with traditional hand-woven Ikat fabric. Entertainment is also provided with a library of books and a TV with DVD-player, tastefully hidden away in a wooden cabinet. There is a teak dining table for 6 and the fully equipped kitchen comes with a terrazzo bar and stools to enjoy drinks together before going out to explore the vibrant night-life of Seminyak.
Friendly Balinese staff will look after you during your stay, making your holiday on the island of the Gods even more pleasurable. They will take care of the household, prepare breakfast, nurture the garden and maintain the pool.
The villa is idyllically located in a quiet lane right in the centre of Seminyak, giving you the convenience of exploring this lively beach town by foot. Seminyak is famous for its designers boutiques, high-end restaurants and happening beach clubs such as Ku De Ta and Potato Head. The renowned 'eat street' in Oberoi with restaurants such as Grocer & Grind and Ultimo, is just a 5 minute walk away and so is the beach, where you can gaze at Bali's breathtaking sunset while sipping from a tropical cocktail at one of the colourful beach bars. Convenience stores are everywhere and you can also easily grab a taxi to take you to the bigger supermarkets such as Bintang and The Bali Deli in no time.
We picked this villa for its rustic, ethnic Balinese look and we weren't disappointed. The furniture and decor is pictureseque and pretty and reflects fine aesthetic taste. In one of the bedrooms, a stone statue of the Buddha looks serenely over you as you sleep. The wooden floors carry sound a little too well though, so speak in hushed tones for privacy. ;-) The semi-open concept bathrooms are charming. The pool is clean and inviting, but a bit small if you like to do laps. Our 2 young kids enjoyed it greatly. Putu arrived promptly each morning before 8am and dutifully made breakfast for us. Being vegetarians, we didn't expect or get a great deal of variety, but plenty of fresh fruit was on offer and Putu made us a grand lunch of gado-gado and sayur lodeh on the day we arrived. We were generally pleased with the housekeeping. The bedrooms and common areas were kept clean. A breakdown in one of the toilets was repaired promptly. Made (Putu's husband) helpfully took our uncle out on a shopping trip on his motorcycle. The approach lane to the villa is fairly narrow, accommodating only one large vehicle at a time, and can be tricky for an SUV to navigate. On the whole, we had a very pleasant experience and would readily recommend the villa to our friends.
