The Agung Rai Museum of Art was founded for a purpose - to preserve and develop the local art and culture. Set within the beautifully landscaped grounds of ARMA Museum & Resort, the museum houses a collection of paintings by Balinese, Indonesian and foreign artists in three buildings. Prominent works include paintings by renowned Balinese artists like I Gusti Nyoman Lempad, Ida Bagus Made, Anak Agung Gede Sobrat and I Gusti Made Deblog. The museum also doubles up as a centre for visual and performing arts. Temporary exhibitions, theatre performances and conferences, as well as dance, music and painting classes are held within the grounds.
