Puri Lukisan Museum houses an extensive collection of Balinese artworks across different schools and disciplines. Each of the four buildings within the compound exhibits a unique category of artworks. The east building features early works gathered from artists in Ubud and the surrounding villages, and the north building houses fine ink drawing from renowned artist I Gusti Nyoman Lempad, along with paintings by Pita Maha artists. The west building contains modern post-war pieces, while the building located in the south serves as a venue for hosting special exhibitions. The well-manicured grounds of the museum are worth taking a stroll in. Stop by the bookshop for some souvenir shopping, or take a break at the cafe after your visit.
