Villa Umah Wa Ke is a vacation residence that features an aesthetic blend of contemporary and traditional, as well as urban and rustic design genres. With its efficient use of available space, interiors are appointed with modern and stylish furnishings as well as with elegant antique, weathered wood and locally crafted pieces. Amenities, of hotel and resort standard, are more than the essential and expected – all enhancing the villa’s idyllic ambience. Cloistered atop a ledge by a lush tropical forest, Villa Umah Wa Ke truly affords you a holiday that is easy, indulgent and restful.
The villa has four bedrooms. Two of these bedrooms have queen-sized beds and dedicated, semi-open bathrooms with bathtubs and outdoor rain showers. These bedrooms also have relaxing views of the river and the forest. One bedroom has twin beds, a dedicated bathroom with a bathtub and an outdoor rain shower, as well as a refreshing view of the garden, while the last bedroom has double-bed with television and air conditioner.
Most of the property’s outdoor area is devoted to the 10-meter swimming pool. Immerse yourself in its mesmerizing, crystal clear waters for some aimless wading. Then linger by the swimming pool’s edge and look out to the picturesque Sungi river. For a tan, you can stretch out on woven wood pool beds on the wooden deck. But once it gets quite hot, seek the shade of the covered terrace and get cozy on the cushioned, ornate, weathered wood day bed.
On the elevated, breezy, semi-open, spacious and high-ceilinged covered terrace of the villa is the living area. Around its large sofa and innovative chairs of leather and wood, you can all converge for engaging conversation. Adjoining is the dining area with its long, weathered wood table good for six. Here, you can all get a taste of authentic local specialties – as well as Western staples – meticulously put together by the in-house chef at the fully-equipped, modern kitchen just beside the dinner table. A second living area is fixed in another room, while a reading nook and study occupies one corner of the villa. At any of these spots, you can comfortably settle for some me time.
Tasked to render the day-to-day services of the villa is a staff consisting of a guest assistant, a housekeeper, a gardener and a security corps. In addition to the chef, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may, upon your request, be called in. However, their services will be charged separately. Car rental is also available.
Villa Umah Wa Ke is based in the town of Tabanan. Outside the villa, you can spend a day at Pantai Batu Mejan or more commonly called Echo Beach – one of Bali’s hottest surfing destinations. Enjoy its beautiful seascape, bountiful seafood and breathtaking sunset as you chill out and dine at highly-recommended places like Sticky Fingers, Osteria Italiana, Sate Bali, Dian Café and Echo Beach House – all offering barbecues and boat-shaped buffets. On another occasion, go sightseeing at Pura Tanah Lot – an ancient, off-shore temple carved out of rock. Then head inland to the Sangeh Monkey Forest and the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces.
