Relax or explore, or both! Some people come to Bali just to relax and decompress. Others want to explore the beaches, arts and crafts, volcanoes, and unique culture of the island. Villa Wiljoba is an ideal location for either. The villa is in Canggu, close to – but outside – the busy tourist towns of Seminyak and Kuta. It’s a 3-minute walk to uncrowded Nelayan Beach, and an easy walk from there to popular seaside spots like the Old Man Bar and Echo Beach. The villa makes a minivan and driver available if you want to go shopping, see temples, or take other day trips. But it’s tempting just to stay at the villa! The rooms are luxurious, spotless, comfortable, and have all Western conveniences. There’s 24-hour security. There’s a huge shaded cabana by the lovely pool, where you can enjoy morning cappucino, afternoon tea, or a Bintang beer before dinner. The staff are friendly and ready to attend to your every need. The in-house cooking is excellent: the talented and creative chef turns out both Indonesian specialties (try the beef rendang!) and American/European classics (such as a marvelous osso buco). The villa can arrange for in-house massages (Bali is famous for these, for good reason). To really treat yourself, ask for Room 6, the honeymoon suite, a split-level unit with a living room, kitchen, two balconies, huge bathroom with whirlpool tub, and exquisite island breezes. We had a memorable stay at Villa Wiljoba, and you will too!

Bali is renowned for its beauty and tranquility and in Villa Wiljoba, this is found in no small measure. The Villa was designed as a home and this is clearly evident from the personal touches throughout the property. This is a labour of love. The attention to detail in the guest rooms is excellent and is as good as you would find in any five star hotel. The quiet ambience of the garden area and pool cannot help but put you in a relaxed mood and a foot massage in the open sided gazebo is guaranteed to melt away all stress. The team looking after the day to day running of the Villa is very friendly and professional - food is superb, from Balinese delicacies to western favourites. A short stroll to the beach makes the location really convenient but the draw of the hospitality at the Villa makes you want to stay within the property and just chill out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back again.

Our stay at Villa Wiljoba met and exceeded all of our expectations. From being met at the airport, to receiving quietly efficient and very friendly service from the (clearly well trained) staff, we were able to slip into 'relaxation' mode very quickly - this soon became 'deep relaxation' mode after the in-house Balinese massages, followed by the really excellent meals prepared by the chef. After visiting the sights of Bali, it was always great to return to the tranquility of the Villa - definitely a preferable and more personalised experience to the' five star' hotel offerings. We plan to return!

We had a wonderful, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay at Villa Wiljoba. The villa is first class with beautifully appointed rooms and excellent facilities. The outdoor space in particular is magnificent, with a lovely pool and spectacular tropical planting - a real change in scenery to our home in Scotland! The staff were marvellous, and really went the extra mile to cater for all our needs. Our holiday was enhanced by the use of a driver who really knew the island and took us to fascinating places where other tourists might not consider venturing. The availability and quality of the in house spa treatments were superb and amazing value for money. The meals were first class and we enjoyed the range of both western and Indonesian cuisine. The location is ideal for access to the local beach where we enjoyed watching the surfers, and the sunsets! Villa Wiljoba is a real tropical paradise!
