Otta Villa is exceptional! Go!! The villa is in a stunning complex of 15 or so villas, with flower covered sandy walkways. The villa was beautiful and accurately represented by the photos. The staff were consistently warm and friendly, and always helpful. The breakfast buffet was a delicious highlight, with fresh juice, cereals, toast, omelettes/eggs and pancakes. The villa is situated in the centre of the northern part of the island, surrounded by local villages and palm tree fields dotted with buffalo. The north of the island is much quieter than the south which suited us. There was still an abundance of restaurants and bars to choose from along the beach front. The villa is about a 10 minute walk or 5 minute ride from the beach but we found the after dinner stroll home with an ice cream past local homes delightful. Gili T is a beautiful peaceful (in the north) island. The absence of motorised vehicles gives a delightful slow pace. The locals are very warm and friendly. The water is a breathtaking azure blue with great snorkelling and scuba diving, with turtles frequently spotted. At low tide the exposed coral makes accessing the water challenging so bring reef shoes and plan to go when high tide is high during the middle of the day. Enjoy!!
